{"id":12212,"date":"2025-09-17T19:02:02","date_gmt":"2025-09-17T19:02:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=12212"},"modified":"2025-09-17T19:02:02","modified_gmt":"2025-09-17T19:02:02","slug":"emphasis-with-attention","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=12212","title":{"rendered":"EMPHASIS WITH ATTENTION"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE: <\/strong>Pay attention to the emphasis in the word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Mark 14:27-72<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The emphasis of the word of God is a warning to give attention and not live outside of God.<br \/>Jesus warned Peter he would deny Him three times, not once.<br \/>Jesus said to His disciples, <em><strong>\u201cAll of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: \u2018I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered.\u2019 \u201cBut\u00a0after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/><em><strong>Peter said to Him, \u201cEven if all are made to\u00a0stumble, yet I\u00a0will\u00a0not\u00a0be.\u201d (Mark 14:27-29)<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Peter had the determination not to deny Jesus.<br \/>Jesus points out that the lesson of determination is not enough; to live by the word of God, one must have a desire, by the grace of God, not to deny living for God.<br \/>Jesus responded to Peter, <em><strong>\u201cAssuredly, I say to you that today,\u00a0even\u00a0this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.\u201d<\/strong><\/em> <em><strong>(Mark 14:30)<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Peter was so sure of his determination not to deny Jesus, saying, <em><strong>&#8220;But he spoke more vehemently, &#8216;If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Jesus had told Peter (act of emphasis in the word of God) that he would deny Him three times, not once.<br \/>Peter denied Jesus!<br \/>Is the emphasis of the word of God getting your attention to warn you?<br \/>Thank God, Jesus, who sees tomorrow from today; present from future, had prayed against the failure of Peter when he denied Him, prayed, <em><strong>&#8220;But I have\u00a0prayed\u00a0for\u00a0you, that\u00a0your faith should\u00a0not\u00a0fail; and when\u00a0you\u00a0have returned\u00a0to\u00a0Me,\u00a0strengthen\u00a0your brethren.\u201d (Luke 22:32)<\/strong><\/em><br \/>There is a lesson in paying attention to emphasis in the word of God.<br \/>In the situation, be aware not to sleep off physically or spiritually,<br \/>Jesus attempted not to excuse His disciples for sleeping at the hour of prayer.<br \/>Jesus went back and forth to keep His disciples awake during the prayer hour.<br \/>Twice, Jesus could not keep them awake: <em><strong>\u201cThen He came the third time and said to them, &#8216;Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough! The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.\u201d (Mark 14:41-42)<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Three times, Jesus wanted to keep His disciples awake, not to sleep, but to pray.<br \/>The word of God is written for learning, not for decoration.<br \/>The word of God is a sustaining prescription for any man with a desire not to be a victim of this wicked world.<br \/>Sleeping in the place of watching and praying is the ground for the enemy to sow its agenda.<br \/><em><strong>Matthew 13:25<\/strong><\/em> buttressed, <em><strong>\u201c\u2026but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Are you awake by watching and praying?<br \/>Strive to live life, not to despise the word of God.<br \/>Pay attention to the word of God to gain and retain the presence of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayer for today: <\/strong>Pray not to live life outside of God.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE: Pay attention to the emphasis in the word of God.
