FAITH CAPSULE: <\/strong>Pay attention to the emphasis in the word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark 14:27-72<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The emphasis of the word of God is a warning to give attention and not live outside of God.
Jesus warned Peter he would deny Him three times, not once.
Jesus said to His disciples, \u201cAll of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: \u2018I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered.\u2019 \u201cBut\u00a0after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>
Peter said to Him, \u201cEven if all are made to\u00a0stumble, yet I\u00a0will\u00a0not\u00a0be.\u201d (Mark 14:27-29)<\/strong><\/em>
Peter had the determination not to deny Jesus.
Jesus points out that the lesson of determination is not enough; to live by the word of God, one must have a desire, by the grace of God, not to deny living for God.
Jesus responded to Peter, \u201cAssuredly, I say to you that today,\u00a0even\u00a0this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.\u201d<\/strong><\/em> (Mark 14:30)<\/strong><\/em>
Peter was so sure of his determination not to deny Jesus, saying, “But he spoke more vehemently, ‘If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!\u201d<\/strong><\/em>
Jesus had told Peter (act of emphasis in the word of God) that he would deny Him three times, not once.
Peter denied Jesus!
Is the emphasis of the word of God getting your attention to warn you?
Thank God, Jesus, who sees tomorrow from today; present from future, had prayed against the failure of Peter when he denied Him, prayed, “But I have\u00a0prayed\u00a0for\u00a0you, that\u00a0your faith should\u00a0not\u00a0fail; and when\u00a0you\u00a0have returned\u00a0to\u00a0Me,\u00a0strengthen\u00a0your brethren.\u201d (Luke 22:32)<\/strong><\/em>
There is a lesson in paying attention to emphasis in the word of God.
In the situation, be aware not to sleep off physically or spiritually,
Jesus attempted not to excuse His disciples for sleeping at the hour of prayer.
Jesus went back and forth to keep His disciples awake during the prayer hour.
Twice, Jesus could not keep them awake: \u201cThen He came the third time and said to them, ‘Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough! The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.\u201d (Mark 14:41-42)<\/strong><\/em>
Three times, Jesus wanted to keep His disciples awake, not to sleep, but to pray.
The word of God is written for learning, not for decoration.
The word of God is a sustaining prescription for any man with a desire not to be a victim of this wicked world.
Sleeping in the place of watching and praying is the ground for the enemy to sow its agenda.
Matthew 13:25<\/strong><\/em> buttressed, \u201c\u2026but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>
Are you awake by watching and praying?
Strive to live life, not to despise the word of God.
Pay attention to the word of God to gain and retain the presence of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
