FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> One that knows God will strive to live responsible before God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniel 6<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibility is the key to greatness for the glory of God.
Only God can truly make a person great when there is responsibility in engaging with His word.
God is a saving master, but not a slave master; He does not force anyone to engage with His word.
Indeed, responsibility is the ability to act or decide on one\u2019s own, without supervision.
Responsibility is rooted in being mindful of God, who is mindful of man.
David’s question to God highlights this in Psalm 8:4:<\/em><\/strong> \u201cWhat is man that You are mindful of him?\u201d<\/em><\/strong>
A person who is mindful of God is set to be full of God.
To be full of God is a responsibility necessary for achieving greatness for the glory of God.
As a believer, are you genuinely mindful of God, or is your mouth just full of God?
What does it involve to be mindful of God as documented in the Bible?
TO KNOW GOD WITHOUT KNOWING ABOUT GOD IS A RESPONSIBILITY
Daniel is an example of someone who knew God and lived a life of responsibility, which was the key to his greatness for the glory of God.
Daniel knew God, as testified in Daniel 11:32: \u201cBut the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>
Daniel\u2019s knowledge of God provoked him to be responsible, ensuring he did not defile himself before God. He purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the delicacies of the unbelieving king. The Bible records, \u201cBut Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king\u2019s delicacies, nor with the wine that he drank; therefore, he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.\u201d (Daniel 1:8)<\/em><\/strong>
Daniel was mindful of God; he knew God, and as a result, he was responsible for his choices. Daniel\u2019s responsibility for his greatness is also evidenced by his prayer custom before God. Although he was a captive, he became a governor. He faced plots against him that led to his being thrown into the den of lions. Daniel engaged in the responsibility of prayer, as recorded in Daniel 6:10: \u201cNow when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since his early days.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>
Daniel was sentenced to the den of lions because he prayed and made supplication before his God. As a young captive, his prayer life, established since his early days, was his responsibility for achieving greatness for the glory of God.
Daniel was diligent in knowing God and, therefore, was not a victim of evil agendas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
