{"id":12570,"date":"2026-03-19T02:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-19T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=12570"},"modified":"2026-03-18T18:24:04","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T18:24:04","slug":"what-follows-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=12570","title":{"rendered":"WHAT FOLLOWS YOU?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE: <\/strong>Whatever follows you that is not of God wants to deny you for the promise of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Exodus 32<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><u>THE CASE OF MOSES: ANGER FOLLOWED MOSES<\/u><\/em><br \/>Anger followed Moses to the point that he failed to step on the promise of God.<br \/>The evidence of the anger of Moses to kill when he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren.\u00a0<br \/>Moses assumed no one was looking at him, so he\u00a0killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. <em><strong>(Exodus 2)<\/strong><\/em><br \/>The spirit of anger in Moses prompted him repeatedly not to step into the Promise of God.<br \/><em><strong>Exodus 32:19<\/strong><\/em> records the anger of Moses, <em><strong>&#8220;when he came near the camp, that he saw the calf\u00a0and\u00a0the dancing. So\u00a0Moses\u2019\u00a0anger\u00a0became hot, and he cast the tablets out\u00a0of\u00a0his hands and broke them at the foot\u00a0of\u00a0the mountain.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><br \/>The anger of Moses, in reaction to the sin of the Israelites, caused him to break the tablets written by the finger of God.<br \/>The error of Moses stemmed from his anger toward the Israelites, who were crying and complaining about the lack of water.<br \/>God commanded Moses to speak:<br \/>Gather the congregation of the Israelites.<br \/>Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water.<br \/>Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together at the rock.<br \/>Moses spoke (God did not ask him to speak rudely to the people),\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cHear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for you out of this rock?\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Moses struck the rock twice with his rod (instead of speaking),\u00a0and water came out abundantly.<br \/>Moses engaged the direction of God halfway, not fully. Half obedience is a full disobedience to the word of God.<br \/><em><strong>Numbers 20:12<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0records the disobedience of Moses,<em><strong>&#8220;Then the\u00a0Lord\u00a0spoke to Moses and Aaron, &#8216;Because\u00a0you did not believe Me, to\u00a0hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Getting angry in any form or for any reason does not excuse sinning before God.<br \/>Moses could not arrive at the promise of God for his life.<br \/><em><u>FAILURE TO FEAR GOD IS FAILURE TO FOLLOW GOD<\/u><\/em><br \/>FEAR FOLLOWED THE DISCIPLES OF JESUS<br \/>Fear that is not of God does not respect or announce or inform before it takes over in the life of its victim.<br \/>Imagine the disciples who followed Jesus but eventually demonstrated fear in their lives when Jesus went to the cross.<br \/>For example, Peter demonstrated the spirit of fear, crowded his life.<br \/>Jesus let Peter know he would deny Him, but Peter vehemently told Jesus he would not deny Him. <em><strong>(Matthew 14:27-50)<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Jesus prayed that faith would uphold Peter not to become a victim of fear.<br \/><em><strong>Luke 22:32<\/strong><\/em> records the prayer of Jesus for Peter,<em><strong>&#8220;But I have prayed for you, that your\u00a0faith\u00a0should\u00a0not\u00a0fail; and when you have returned to\u00a0Me,\u00a0strengthen your brethren.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Without doubt, when faith rises, fear will sink.<br \/>The fear of this world will prevent one from fully following God and not arrive at the promise of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Prayer for today:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>Ask for the hand of God over your life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE: Whatever follows you that is not of God wants to deny you for the promise of God.
