FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> Pride prompts snubbing God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 Samuel 15<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proverbs 14:3 <\/strong><\/em>states, “In the mouth of a fool\u00a0is\u00a0a rod of\u00a0pride, but the lips of the wise will preserve them.”<\/strong><\/em>
Proverbs 16:18 <\/strong><\/em>identifies pride: “Pride\u00a0goes\u00a0before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”<\/strong><\/em>
Pages of the Bible describe pride in various ways, but it is clear that pride is empty and has no place before God.
Giving attention to the word of God that is against pride and all that branches out of pride is a way of not ignoring God.
Ignoring the word of God is as snubbing God.
Know that living a life snubbing God can be a character of pride.\u00a0
Pride will deny one to hear and give ear to do by the word of God.
Jeremiah 13:15\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>buttresses,\u00a0\u201cHear and give ear: do not be proud, for the Lord has spoken.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0
Are you with the pride not to give to the word of God?
Living a life of disobedience is a pride of self-destruction.
Disobedience to the word of God is like feeding on poison that terminates life.
Search yourself to identify what is denying you to do the word of God by giving yourself to a route of self-destruction.\u00a0
Pride is snubbing God to engage in what seems right, but not what God commands, which is not right before God.\u00a0
Proverbs 14:12\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>warns, \u201cThere is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>
Pride is not of God but the identity of walking against what is right before God.
Pride is self-destruction.
It is pride that prompts one not to wait on God when there is a need.
Snubbing God is not waiting on God:\u00a0
A failure to wait on God is seeking outside of God.
One who does not remember God does not wait on God for His promise.\u00a0Hebrews 13:5<\/strong><\/em> states the word of God,\u00a0“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, \u201cI will never leave you nor forsake you.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>
Remember always that God will not forsake His children.
A failure to wait on God is the character of not remembering God for His works.\u00a0\u00a0
The works of God are in His word.\u00a0
Psalm 106:13-14<\/strong><\/em> testifies,\u00a0\u201c\u2026 soon forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel, but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
It is a route to failure in life when one does not remember God, the character of not giving regard to His work.
Isaiah 5:12-13\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>records,\u00a0\u201cThe harp and the strings, the tambourine, and the flute, and wine are in their feasts; but they do not regard the work of the LORD, nor consider the operation of His hands. Therefore, my people have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge; their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em> The Israelites repeatedly ignored (snubbed) the works of God, so God substituted the Promised Land for the wilderness Journey of forty years.\u00a0(Numbers14)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
