{"id":12677,"date":"2026-05-27T02:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=12677"},"modified":"2026-05-25T17:21:29","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T17:21:29","slug":"obedience-to-god-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=12677","title":{"rendered":"OBEDIENCE TO GOD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE: <\/strong><strong>Living by the word of God will not give way for ditracton.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Jonah 1,2<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any spirit identified as not of God is the business of the devil to derail and destroy one not to live for God.<br \/>Are you paying attention to what is not of God?<br \/>Attention will lead one to attend to the vices to destroy.<br \/>What is it holding you, giving attention to distract you?<br \/>Distraction is not God but the weapon of the devil.<br \/>Is your title the reliance that you count on not to become a victim of distraction?<br \/>Distraction will come from every angle to destroy the victim.<br \/>The word of God that is direction came for Jonah, <em><strong>&#8220;Now the word of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0came to\u00a0Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,\u00a0&#8216;Arise, go to\u00a0Nineveh, that\u00a0great city, and cry out against it; for\u00a0their wickedness has come up before Me.\u201d\u00a0But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the\u00a0Lord.&#8221; (Jonah 1:1-3)<\/strong><\/em><br \/>God spoke to Jonah, but he disobeyed.<br \/>Jonah was angry, not wanting salvation for the wicked of Nineveh, and became distracted, seeking judgment of God because he failed to see the salvation of God for the people of Nineveh. <em><strong>(Jonah 4)<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Distraction is a silent destroyer of disobedience.<br \/>Whatever one withholds against the direction of God is evidence of distraction or disobedience to God.<br \/>With direction, God called Jonah and his family from destruction to deliverance.<br \/>God directed Lot and his wife not to look back on the trail of deliverance, but the wife of Lot looked back.<br \/>Distraction can be in the past to disallow arrival at the promised future by God.<br \/>Lot was focused, but his wife could not focus and kept looking back.<br \/>Looking back will not gain from looking forward, the evidence of distraction.<br \/>Abraham was a testimony who did not become a victim of distraction.<br \/><em><strong>Genesis 22:2<\/strong><\/em> records the direction of God for Abraham, <em><strong>\u201cTake now your son,\u00a0your only\u00a0son\u00a0Isaac, whom you\u00a0love, and go\u00a0to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a\u00a0burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Abraham obeys the direction of God.<br \/>Abraham obeyed with his heart to engage the burnt offering when the angel showed up to him and said,<em><strong>\u201cDo not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for\u00a0now I know that you fear God, since you have not\u00a0withheld your son, your only\u00a0son,\u00a0from Me.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Abraham did not withhold against the direction to become a victim of distraction.<br \/>Abraham lived for God.<br \/>To live for God is to live for the Glory, honour, and power of God, the reason existing for the will of God. <em><strong>(Revelation 4:11)<\/strong><\/em><br \/>In life, do not live as a victim of distraction from the promise of God.<br \/>Live life for God in all your endeavours, God is a merciful God that wait to act for those wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayer for today: <\/strong>Ask God that His mercy will deliver you not to become a victim of distraction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE: Living by the word of God will not give way for ditracton.
