FAITH CAPSULE: <\/strong>A believer should be living by the Word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John 8<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One who answers as a believer should know what it means to be a believer.
A believer should be living by the Word.
One who is not living by the Word of God shall be living by the world.
Do you know how to live by the Word of God?
Many know about God, but how many know Him?
Many claim to be a believer but do not walk in the way of God.
Be one who lives by the Word of God to walk in the light of God.
Jesus speaks to all in\u00a0John 8:12, \u201cI am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>
It is not possible to follow God without knowing Him.
In John 8:14<\/strong><\/em>, Jesus testifies,\u00a0“…I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from and where I am going.”<\/strong><\/em>
Jesus points out that one who does not know God will not know Him.\u00a0(John 8:19)<\/strong><\/em>
One who does not know Jesus will not follow Him and will not abide in Him. Jesus also said that those who do not believe Him will die in sin.\u00a0(John 8:24)<\/strong><\/em>
John 8:31-32<\/strong><\/em> records Jesus:\u00a0\u201cIf you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>
To know Him is to believe in Him, know Him to abide in Him, and be free indeed.\u00a0
To follow Jesus is to abide in Him; the evidence of believing in Him.
The world of wickedness does not like the truth.
In\u00a0John 8:45<\/strong><\/em>, Jesus said,\u00a0“But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.”<\/strong><\/em>
The Word of God is the truth. Hearing the truth will lead you to abide, follow, believe, and do according to the Word of God.
John 8:47<\/strong><\/em> records,\u00a0“He who is of God hears God\u2019s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>
Without doubt, Jesus warns emphatically to all,\u00a0“Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word, he shall never see death.\u201d(John 8:51)<\/strong><\/em>
Be living by the Word of God, answering as a believer.
The Word of God identifies what becomes a believer of God in truth:
Mark 5:36<\/strong><\/em> records the words of Jesus,\u00a0\u201c…Do not be afraid; only believe.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
Mark 9:23:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cIf you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>
Mark 11:24<\/strong><\/em> records,\u00a0“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”<\/strong><\/em>
John 3:15\u00a0<\/strong>records,\u00a0“Whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”<\/strong><\/em>
Many know about God, but how many know Him?
It is those who know God, not just those who know about Him, who stand to claim the Word of God as a believer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
