But Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.\u00d3<\/i><\/b> Saul knew that he should never present burnt offerings, but Saul went ahead and presented the burnt offerings anyway. Then Samuel showed up. 1 Samuel <\/i><\/b>13:11<\/i><\/b>, \u00d2And Samuel said, \u00d4What have you done? Saul said, \u00d4When I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash.\u00d5\u00d3<\/i><\/b> Saul allowed emotion to override what God commanded him. As an anointed of God for an assignment or for some designated purpose, whenever your feelings or emotions begin to override God\u00d5s commandment, you will not be established. Samuel made it clear to Saul that God would have established Saul\u00d5s kingdom over Israel forever, but his emotional move caused disobedience and it removed him from becoming established. Emotion can be dangerous if allowed to override the word of God.
