{"id":4438,"date":"2013-09-04T04:36:54","date_gmt":"2013-09-04T04:36:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=4438"},"modified":"2013-09-04T04:36:54","modified_gmt":"2013-09-04T04:36:54","slug":"steadfast-expectation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=4438","title":{"rendered":"STEADFAST EXPECTATION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>FAITH CAPSULE: <\/b>Be steadfast in your expectation; never give up until you get through.<\/p>\n<p>Luke 18:35-43, Luke 19:1-10<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p>In life, expectation is the act of looking forward to manifestation and it demonstrate the extent of our faith. The Lord God is a God who weighs our action. <b><i>1 Samuel 2:3<\/i><\/b> buttress, <b><i>\u201cFor the Lord is the God of knowledge; and by Him actions are weighed.\u201d <\/i><\/b>Are you expecting from God? \u00a0The bible documents, about certain blind man who continually beg by the road side. The blind man was in the right place, at the right time when Jesus was passing by where he was begging. <b><i>Luke 18:36-37<\/i><\/b> documents, <b><i>\u201cAnd hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant. So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.\u201d<\/i><\/b> The blind man began to cry out by calling on Jesus for help. While he was crying the crowd attempted to shut him down from his crying out but he was steadfastly persistent until he gained the attention of Jesus and <b><i>\u201c\u2026Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him\u2026\u201d (Luke 18:40)<\/i><\/b> The blind man\u2019s expectation was manifested.<br \/>\nJesus gave a parable of the persistent widow who was able to get a manifestation of her expectation from a wicked judge because of her persistency. (Luke 18:1-5) The widow did not stop asking until she was able to receive her expectation.<\/p>\n<p>When we become reluctant or stop asking, it shows the lack of faith. To stop asking at the time of our need is possibly the evidence of lack of steadfast faith. We are to ask, seek knock and not stop until there is an answer in place for us. Jesus commanded, <b><i>\u201cAsk, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened&#8230;\u201d (Matthew 7:7-9)<\/i><\/b> Jesus does not waste word and whatever He says, is settle. Why quit from being steadfast in your expectation?<\/p>\n<p>A very short man attempting to see Jesus in the midst of a crowd is like one who is attempting to climb a rock by riding a bike. Short man Zacchaeus ignored all limitations which was bounding him from seeing Jesus and went with all the expectations that enabled Him to see who Jesus was. It is written, <b><i>\u201cSo he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, \u201cZacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.\u201d (Luke 19:4-5) <\/i><\/b>\u00a0Be steadfast in your expectation; never give up until you get through.<\/p>\n<p><b>Prayer for today:<\/b> <i>Father, I ask for the grace of enablement to seek you with all that You have given me.<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE: Be steadfast in your expectation; never give up until you get through.
