Faith Capsule: <\/span><\/b>Zealousness for God is the key to become a winner for God.<\/p>\n

John 2<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Zealousness<\/span> i<\/span>s described as, <\/span><\/b>fervent <\/span>or <\/span>enthusiastic <\/span>devotion or being passionate about one\u2019s own believes. <\/span>Going by definition of the word Zeal, what does it mean for one to be zealous for God?
\n<\/span>In Jesus, we see what it means to be a zealous one for God\u2019s glory.
\n<\/span>The bible recorded, <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers\u2019 money and overturned the tables. And He said to those who sold doves, <\/span>\u201cTake these things away! Do not make My Father\u2019s house a house of merchandise!\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>Then His disciples remembered that it was written, <\/span>\u201cZeal for Your house has eaten <\/span>Me up.\u201d (John 2:13-17)
\n<\/span><\/i><\/b>The action of Jesus is a demonstration of Zeal for God. <\/span>Jesus would not have been able to flush out negativity in the temple if not for the zeal that was upon Him. In man, Zeal for God is the evidence of boldness and character which is a winning combination.
\n<\/span>Are you zealous for God?
\n<\/span>Just as zeal is needed in the life of New Testament believer, so it was for the Old <\/span>Testament believer. The bible makes us to realize that we are the temple of God. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 stated, <\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/i><\/b>Or do you not know that your <\/span>body<\/span> is the <\/span>temple<\/span> of the Holy Spirit <\/span>who is<\/span> in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your <\/span>body<\/span> and in your spirit, which are God\u2019s.\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/b>Do you have what it takes to flush out all that does not represent God in your temple? Jesus was able to flush out the temple that was turned to a joint for buying and selling because He was zealous with God\u2019s Zeal. Is your Zeal is God\u2019s zeal or zeal for man\u2019s attention? Jesus stood His ground to do what was right by flushing out negativities in the housed of God. Today, there are so much that needs to be flushed out of temples but believers do not have the zeal to engage flushing out of temples all that is not of God. <\/span>Zealousness for God is the key to become a winner for God. Zealousness is source of boldness and character to live for the glory of God. Zeal for God does not come by determination. With prayer and desire for the Zeal for God, God will deposit in you all that it takes to be zealous for His glory.<\/p>\n
