FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> Does your situation demands waiting on God?<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 13:1-15<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

King Saul was instructed by Samuel to wait for a lawful sacrifice before going to war against Philistines but could not wait for Samuel\u2019s instruction. As Philistines gathered together to fight with Israel King Saul could not wait for seven days as instructed by Samuel. It is written, \u201cSo Saul said, \u201cBring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.\u201d And he offered the burnt offering.\u201d (1 Samuel 13:9)<\/em><\/strong> With Saul\u2019s action, he tragically disobeyed both the Law of Moses and the instructions of God\u2019s prophet. (Leviticus 1)
\nKing Saul could not wait as instructed.
\nIs waiting to address your confronting situation a challenge?
\nThe truth is that waiting in obedience to instruction shall always culminate favorable expectation.
\nAfter disobedience act of Saul, Samuel arrived at Saul, he asked him, \u201cwhat have you done\u201d Saul said, \u201cWhen I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash, then I said, \u2018The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the <\/em><\/strong>Lord<\/em><\/strong>.\u2019 Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.\u201d (1 Samuel 13:11-12)
\n<\/em><\/strong>It is always a foolish thing to disobey God\u2019s commandment.
\nWaiting for God is giving attention to a jealous God.
\nPsalmist admonished, \u201c<\/em><\/strong>Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed\u2026\u201d (Psalm 25:3)
\n<\/em><\/strong>A believer in God must understand that to wait out endure a period of waiting. Waiting can be a delay but never a waste of time.
\nIn time of waiting, among exercise a believer must engage are:
\nBe of good courage; rest in the Lord; wait patiently for Him; do not fret; keep His way; let your soul wait silently.
\n<\/em>The above truth about waiting is testified in the scriptural verses listed below:
\nWait<\/em><\/strong> on the Lord; be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! (Psalm 27:14)
\nPsalm 37:7, \u201cRest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.\u201d
\nPsalm 37:9, \u201cFor evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth.\u201d
\nPsalm 37:34, \u201cWait on the Lord, And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.\u201d
\nPsalm 40:1, \u201c<\/em><\/strong>I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.\u201d
\nPsalm 62:1, \u201cTruly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.\u201d
\nPsalm 62:5, \u201cMy soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.\u201d
\nHosea 12:6, \u201c\u2026 wait on your God continually.\u201d
\n<\/em><\/strong>Does your situation demands waiting on God?
\nGod is true to answer when we wait patiently by abiding in His word obediently.<\/p>\n
