FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> Clearly, sin is unbelief and it is a passage to death.<\/p>\n

Psalm 106<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Among avenues to sin and sinning are: Lack of understanding the wonders of God; forgetting the works of God and failure to believe God.<\/em> The above mentioned were apparent among the Israelites and is evident in man today.
\nLack of Understanding the wonders of God:
\nBible recorded, \u201cOur fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; they did not remember the multitude of your mercies, but rebelled by the sea-the Red Sea.\u201d (Psalm 106:7)<\/em><\/strong> Lack of understanding leads to: rebellion, complaint, negative confession.
\nThe Israelites confessed in Numbers 14:1-4,<\/em><\/strong> \u201c\u2026And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, \u201cIf only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt…?\u201d
\n<\/em><\/strong>They sin and God responded, \u201cSay to them, \u2018As I live,\u2019 says the LORD, \u2018just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you: The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness\u2026\u201d (Numbers 14:28-30)
\n<\/em><\/strong>Understanding is not of the mouth but of the heart. It is through understanding that we know that having life today is not a merit but the mercy of God. Having understanding God\u2019s wonders will cause man to remember and eliminate rebelliousness nature. Word testified that understanding, \u201c<\/em><\/strong>Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it…\u201d (Proverbs 16:22)
\n<\/em><\/strong>Wellspring is a source of abundant supply. With understanding we have abundance of life which Jesus brought for us. With sin because of lack of understanding, life becomes wasted like the Israelites that sin and died in the wilderness.
\nForgetting the works of God:
\n\u201cThey soon forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel, but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert.\u201d (Psalm 106:13-14) <\/em><\/strong>If man fails by not become mindful of God\u2019s works, the spirit of forgetfulness shall lead to sin. The Israelites forgot; they could not wait on God but died in sin and not get to the Promised Land.
\nFailure to believe God:
\n\u201cThen they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His word\u201d (Psalm 106:24)
\n<\/em><\/strong>They despised the meaning of God\u2019s words and took a wrong way outside of God\u2019s plan for their life. Disobeying the word of God is the evidence of lack of belief. God promised to take them to the Promised Land but spy\u2019s negative testimonies provoked unbelieving act. God is holy and with sin no man can reach God.
\nJust like the Israelites, man does not understand the wondrous acts of God, forgetting the works of God and failure to believe God are sinful route of untimely death.<\/p>\n

Prayer for today:<\/strong> Ask God to deliver you from known and unknown route of sin.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
