FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> Are you hallowing His name?<\/p>\n

Numbers 20:1-13<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Jesus taught prayer stating, \u201cOur Father in heaven,<\/em><\/strong> Hallowed be Your name.\u201d (Matthew 6:9)<\/em><\/strong> Hallowing the name of God is blessing, respecting, sanctifying, deifying, and revering the name of God. The name of God deserves honor. Proverbs 18:10<\/em><\/strong> identified the name of God, \u201c<\/em><\/strong>The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> What is limiting the understanding of the name of God in your life?
\nMoses wanted to know the name of God before delivering the message of God to Pharaoh as God identified His name. The book of Exodus 3:13-14<\/em><\/strong> recorded, \u201cThen Moses said to God, \u201cIndeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, \u2018The God of your fathers has sent me to you,\u2019 and they say to me, \u2018What is His name?\u2019 what shall I say to them?\u201d<\/em><\/strong> And God said to Moses, \u201cI AM WHO I AM.\u201d And He said, \u201cThus you shall say to the children of Israel, \u2018I AM has sent me to you.\u2019\u201d It is important to know and always remember that the word of God is not a waste when He stated that He is a jealous God. A jealous God definitely demands attention in every meaningful to call on Him or to answer His calling.
\nAre you hallowing His name?
\nAs great as Moses was in the hand of God, his sin that deprived him from stepping on the Promised Land was the result of his failure to hallow the name of God. When God commanded Moses to speak to the rock for water to quench the thirsty of the Israelites, Moses went and struck the rock. (Numbers 20:7-9) Moses\u2019 act dis-hallowed God and it counted against Moses as disobedient before God. God responded to Moses, \u201c\u2026Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.\u201d(Numbers 20:12)<\/em><\/strong> \u00a0A failure to hallow God is an evidence of lack of belief; it is also a rebellious to God as bible testified in Numbers 27:14, \u201c<\/em><\/strong>For in the Wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against My command to hallow Me at the waters before their eyes\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Trespassing against God also counted as dis-hallowing God against Moses, \u201cbecause you trespassed against Me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the Wilderness of Zin, because you did not hallow Me in the midst of the children of Israel.\u201d (Deuteronomy 32:51)<\/em> <\/strong>As a result of the truth that Moses did not hallow God, the word counted unbelief, rebellion and trespassing against Moses. Know to constantly hallow God. \u201cThe Lord of Hosts, Him you shall hallow; let Him be your fear.\u201d (Isaiah 8:13) \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>In your walk let God know you fear; when you go before Him in your prayer know to hallow his name.<\/p>\n
