FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> By his grace, strive to be hearing Him\u2026no excuse not to hear God.<\/p>\n

John 2 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The word of God is God. The word of God testified in John 1:1, \u201cIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>The word of God is here for man to hear, to listen and comply so that blessings of God shall become manifested in the life of hearers of God\u2019s word.
\nPsalm 107:20<\/em><\/strong> mentioned about the word of God, \u201cHe sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>Jesus, the word of God declared, \u201c\u2026<\/em><\/strong>I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.\u201d (<\/em><\/strong>John 10:10)<\/em><\/strong> The word of God is here to heal and deliver us from all destruction if we are able to hear, to listen with compliance attitude.
\nWhat is it about hearing, listening to the word of God?
\nMan that is hearing by listening to the word God is the position to be led by God. In life, it is not possible for man to hear, to listen to the word of God and doubt God.
\nHearing by listening to the word of God is submission to be managed, to be steered and to be led by the word of God. Further, hearing by listening to the word of God will deliver man from lack to plenty; it will deliver man from shame at the ground of joyful celebration. At the wedding in Cana of Galilee, when the celebration ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus knew that hearing to Jesus will deliver the marriage from mockery to miracle. As a result, the mother of Jesus suggested to the servants at the marriage celebration stating, \u201c\u2026whatever He says to you, do it.\u201d (John 2:5)<\/em><\/strong> Hearing by listening to Jesus, the living word of God is the avenue to be delivered, to move forward and not be a failure. At the wedding in Cana of Galilee, lack of wine was converted to plenty because the servants heard by listening to Jesus as suggested by Jesus\u2019 mother.
\nIn life, not hearing and listening to the word of God will lead to wrong decision in all walks. Hear and listen to His word by dwelling is His word as teacher. Psalmist buttressed, \u201cTeach<\/em><\/strong> me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth\u2026\u201d (Psalm 86:11) \u201cI will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.\u201d (Psalm 32:8)
\n<\/em><\/strong>Evidently, hearing and listening to the word of God is the avenue to be obeying the word of God. Isaiah identified the reason to be obedience and not be disobedient to the word of God stating, \u201cIf you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;\u00a0<\/sup>But if you refuse and rebel,<\/em><\/strong> You shall be devoured by the sword\u201d; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. (Isaiah 1:19-20)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
