{"id":6555,"date":"2016-10-10T15:56:18","date_gmt":"2016-10-10T15:56:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=6555"},"modified":"2016-10-10T15:56:18","modified_gmt":"2016-10-10T15:56:18","slug":"standstill-to-see","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=6555","title":{"rendered":"STANDSTILL TO SEE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> Resting in God\u2019s promise is the evidence of trusting and hoping in the hand of God.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Exodus 14<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After the deliverance of Israelites by the hand of God from the bondage of over four hundred years, they could not disregard the spirit of fear from Pharaoh\u2019s army at the Red Sea. The bible recorded, <strong><em>\u201cSo the Egyptians pursued them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and his army, and overtook them camping by the sea beside Pi Hahiroth, before Baal Zephon. And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the <\/em><\/strong>Lord.\u201d (Exodus 14:9-10) \u00a0The Israelites allowed fear instead of standing on the power of God. Enemy is a liar but man should remember to take a stand in the testimonies of God. The statement of <strong><em>Psalm 119:31<\/em><\/strong> is an evidence of standing on the testimonies of God, <strong><em>\u201cI cling to Your testimonies; O Lord, do not put me to shame!\u201d Psalm 119:79 <\/em><\/strong>also recorded,<strong><em> \u201cLet those who fear You turn to me, Those who know Your testimonies.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong>Can you remember any testimony of God as evidence that God is never a failure in your life journey? In response to the fear of the Israelites, bible recorded,<strong><em> \u201cAnd Moses said to the people, \u201cDo not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. <sup>\u00a0<\/sup>The <\/em><\/strong>Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.\u201d (Exodus 14:13-14)<br \/>\nWhen God promises, it is certain for man to claim the promises of God by resting in the promises of God. Resting in God\u2019s promise is the evidence of trusting and hoping in the hand of God. King Jehoshaphat was faced with war against Moab and Ammon. As a result, \u201c<strong><em>King Jehoshaphat feared and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah\u201d (2 Chronicles 20:3)<\/em><\/strong>. In his prayers, he reminded God concerning the works of God\u2019s hand and God responded by sending Jahaziel who delivered God\u2019s word of promise stating<strong><em> \u201cYou will not need to fight in this battle, position yourselves, standstill and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>(2 Chronicles 20:17) <\/em><\/strong>The Word of God is true to deliver only if we will hear and believe.<br \/>\nAre you anticipating any representative of Pharaoh or Moab and Ammon in your life? Disallow fear; stand still and see victory over your enemy.
