{"id":6982,"date":"2017-07-14T12:30:47","date_gmt":"2017-07-14T12:30:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=6982"},"modified":"2017-07-14T12:30:47","modified_gmt":"2017-07-14T12:30:47","slug":"deny-distraction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=6982","title":{"rendered":"DENY DISTRACTION!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> Pay attention to deny distraction.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Judges 6<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Distraction is a denial of man not to walk in the Lord to arrive in the center of man\u2019s divine assignment. Samson was a man destined to be a deliverer of his people by the hand of God upon his life. At the time he was to be conceived by his mother God sent an angel that said to his mother, <strong><em>\u201cIndeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son. <sup>\u00a0<\/sup>Now therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to eat anything unclean. For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.\u201d (Judges 13:3-5)<\/em><\/strong> After his birth, at a point in his journey of life, he became a victim of distraction from the word of God over his life. Samson was not to reveal the secret that the angel delivered to his mother. When he became enticed by his wife he could not focus and maintain the word of God over his life.<br \/>\nSamson was pressed by his wife to reveal secret of the word of God upon his life to his enemy. <strong><em>Judges 16:18-20<\/em><\/strong> recorded distraction of Samson by his wife, <strong><em>\u201cWhen Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, \u201cCome up once more, for he has told me all his heart.\u201d So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hand. <\/em><\/strong>Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him. <sup>\u00a0<\/sup>And she said, \u201cThe Philistines are upon you, Samson!\u201d So he awoke from his sleep, and said, \u201cI will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!\u201d But he did not know that the <strong><em>Lord<\/em><\/strong><strong><em> had departed from him.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Samson\u2019s prominent distraction was not his outsider but his wife.<br \/>\nWhat or who is your distraction is set to derail your journey to the center of divine assignment? During the challenges of Job, his wife was an agent of distraction with attempt to set Job away from God\u2019s presence. Bible recorded Job\u2019s wife distracting word, <strong><em>\u201cThen his wife said to him, \u201cDo you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (Job 2:9) Unlike Samson, Job resisted distraction by responding to his wife\u2019s distracting device, <strong><em>\u201cYou speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?\u201d (Job 2:10)<\/em><\/strong> Are you avoiding devices of distraction before you? Pay attention to deny distraction in your life otherwise distraction from the inside (not distraction from outside) will deny your divine assignment as you journey in life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:<\/strong> <em>Ask God for your deliverance from every form of distraction.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE: Pay attention to deny distraction.
