FAITH CAPSULE: <\/strong>What is it that is militating against your existence? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2 Chronicles 20:1-21<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this wicked world, what is it that is militating against your existence? In the face of militating force against man\u2019s existence, believing the word of God is enough to deliver and preserve man to the glory of God. In the word of God there is healing, and deliverance as testified through the pages of bible. Psalm 107:20<\/em><\/strong> recorded for knowing and understanding, \u201cHe sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Do you believe that the word of God is true to deliver and preserve? The word of God is a place for hiding and shield for man that will trust and hope in the word of God. Psalmist testified, \u201c<\/em><\/strong>You are my hiding place and my shield;<\/em><\/strong> I hope in Your word\u201d. (Psalm 119:114)<\/em><\/strong> \u201cUphold me according to Your word, that I may live;<\/em><\/strong> and do not let me be ashamed of my hope.\u201d (Psalm 119:116)<\/em><\/strong> The psalmist would not have testified if it was not true. The word of God is power to deliver and to preserve if man will work the works of the word (to be living the word of God).
\nWithout doubt, the bible is the manual of life with all manner of prescription that works against any militating force which battle against your existence. Bible recorded Jehoshaphat and his people\u2019s existence against militating force and its evil agenda. It is written, \u201cIt happened after this that the people of Moab with the people of Ammon, and others with them besides the Ammonites, came to battle against Jehoshaphat.\u00a0<\/sup>Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, \u201cA great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar\u201d (which is En Gedi).\u00a0<\/sup>And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the <\/em><\/strong>Lord<\/em><\/strong>, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.\u201d (2 Chronicles 20:1-3)<\/em><\/strong> According to the written word of God in the verses above, Jehoshaphat\u2019s victory was rooted in setting himself apart by seeking God in praying and fasting.
\nEngaging prayer and fasting is knowing and understanding to be waiting on the word of God. The understanding to be waiting on God for deliverance as stated, Isaiah 64:4,<\/em><\/strong> \u201cFor since the beginning of the world<\/em><\/strong> Men<\/em><\/strong> have not heard nor perceived by the ear,<\/em><\/strong> nor has the eye seen any God besides You,<\/em><\/strong> Who acts for the one who waits for Him.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> From today begin to hide in the word of God as stated in the verse above. God is a God that acts for those who wait on Him. Jehoshaphat prayed and fasted with understanding as a result, the militating force against his life was terminated.<\/p>\n
