Setting mind in the things of God will establish one for the glory of God. In the word of Apostle Paul, by virtue of his experience we are to gain understand and knowledge as stated in <strong><em>Colossians 3:1, \u201cIf you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Have you given your life to Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and savior? From today, desire, seek for the grace with mindset to be raised and be sitting in the presence of Jesus.<br \/>\nIn the same chapter, Apostle Paul gave a clear understanding to show that the only way to be able to seek things above will be established above and not established on things which are on the earth. Setting minds on things of earth is opening door for the evil one to come occupy one\u2019s life. In one\u2019s life, the heart of man is the battle ground which the enemy wants to capture. A captured mind is a trapped mind in things which are not of God.<br \/>\nA set mind for God purposes for God\u2019s glory. God. Daniel being a young captive set himself for the glory of God when he purposed for God. It is written,<strong><em> \u201cDaniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king\u2019s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore, he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.\u201d (Daniel 1:8)<\/em><\/strong> Setting mind for things above is to be purposely fix against any distraction.<br \/>\nA mind that is set will not be found without constant Meditation in the morning, day, and night will set one\u2019s mind in the above, with God. Are you willing to set your mind on things that are above where Christ is? If yes, by God\u2019s grace, laboriously, \u201c<strong><em>put to death your members which are on earth such as fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness which is idolatry\u201d (Colossians 3:5)<\/em><\/strong>. With man set there is a need to put off anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of mouth is also included. In the place of putting off the members that are of this earth (the old man), there will be putting on of the things that are of God; characters that represent He that is above. Apostle Paul identifies such characters as, tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering <strong><em>(Colossians 3:12)<\/em><\/strong>. Above all of this is love and allowing forgiveness to reign and rule in the heart of God\u2019s word. Constantly setting mind to seek the things above with Christ will deliver one from becoming a waste.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:<\/strong> <em>Ask for grace to have a mind set for God as you desire.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE: A set mind for God purposes for God\u2019s glory.
