However, when his brothers spotted him at far they conspired against him to kill him. In the place of killing Joseph, Reuben suggested placing Joseph in empty pit. Joseph’s journey from pain to gain was written for our learning to be encouraged in God’s absolute control. It is written, “So it came to pass, when Joseph had come to his brothers, that they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him. 24 Then they took him and cast him into a pit. Bible described him, “There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. 2 And seven sons and three daughters were born to him. 3 Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.” (Job 1:1-3) Job was right before God but wrong enough before Satan to ask for his life. Job was not beyond deliverance and protection of God from his pain in the hand of Satan. However, it was painful for Job when he lost everything to Satan but was gainful when God restored him back with abundance. It is written, “And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends.
