FAITH CAPSULE: <\/strong>Walking in God\u2019s word is gaining and retaining God\u2019s presence.<\/p>\n

Genesis 3<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Psalm 1:1<\/em><\/strong> recorded, \u201c<\/em><\/strong>Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Man\u2019s walk will determine what man stand with or stand for. Also, man\u2019s walk will determine the kind of seat that man sits on or kind of person which man sits with.
\nIn the journey of life, Man should be walking before God by walking in the word of God. Walking in the word of God must be rooted in understanding and knowing God\u2019s word by listening in the word of God. John 8:43<\/em><\/strong> recorded the word of Jesus, \u201cWhy do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Giving self to the word of God is the evidence of listening to understand with knowledge by walking in the word of God. Walking in the word of God is walking in the way of God. The word of God is the way of God; the way of God is the presence of God. Moses asked from God, \u201c\u2026<\/em><\/strong>show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight…\u201d (Exodus 33;13) <\/em><\/strong>God responded to Moses stating, \u201c\u2026My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.\u201d (Exodus 33:14) <\/em><\/strong>Moses\u2019 asking and God\u2019s answer testifies that the way of God is God\u2019s presence. To gain and maintain God\u2019s presence is walking in God\u2019s way which is God\u2019s presence. Walking in the word of God is seeking God. Walking in the word of God is work which is labor with sacrifice that is costly.
\nAre you walking in the word of God, living for the glory of God?
\nFrom Genesis to Revelation, it is clear that WALKING in the word of God is God\u2019s demand from man. It is certain that without walking in the word of God man cannot remain in the center of God\u2019s divine assignment in the journey of life.
\nWHAT IS IT ABOUT WALKING OR NOT WALKING IN THE WORD OF GOD?
\n<\/u>Obeying the word of God will be keeping man in the presence of God while disobeying the word of God is man\u2019s walk of hiding from the presence of God. Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they hid self from God and could not gain to retain the presence of God. It is written, \u201cAnd they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.\u201d (Genesis 3:8)<\/em><\/strong> Hiding from the presence of God is the evidence of disobedient to God\u2019s word. Noah obeyed God\u2019s word and was identified as perfect man before God in his generation, he walked with God. (Genesis 6:9)<\/em> Disobedience of Adam and Eve caused them to hid themselves from the presence of God and could not walk with God. Obedience is walking in God\u2019s word to gain and retain God\u2019s presence.<\/p>\n

Prayer for today: <\/strong>Ask for God\u2019s word to occupy your entire way of living.<\/p>\n
