{"id":8024,"date":"2019-03-26T13:26:13","date_gmt":"2019-03-26T13:26:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8024"},"modified":"2019-03-26T13:26:13","modified_gmt":"2019-03-26T13:26:13","slug":"avoid-distraction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8024","title":{"rendered":"AVOID DISTRACTION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> Distraction is an agent of faith-failure.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Matthew 16<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Distraction can deny or derail any man from arrival at the center of divine assignment. In your journey of life are you entertaining any agent of distraction?<br \/>\nThe failure of the Israelites to follow God\u2019s command fully was faith-failure. In challenging times, the Israelites confessed negatives which is the evidence of not having faith in God.<br \/>\nGod responded to Israelites\u2019 faith-failure through Moses as stated: <strong><em>\u201cSay to them, \u2018As I live,\u2019 says the LORD, \u2018just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you: The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness, all of you who were numbered, according to your entire number, from twenty years old and above. Except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun, you shall by no means enter the land which I swore I would make you dwell in.\u201d (Numbers 14:28-30)<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><em><u>Failure to serve God with the whole heart is the evidence of not following Him fully.<br \/>\n<\/u><\/em>As a result of not following God fully, every Israelite that left Egypt above the age of twenty failed to complete their journey to the Promised Land. Are you serving God fully to avoid a failure not to arrive at God\u2019s promise? Many are committed believers such as the prayer intercessors, choir leaders, ushers, Sunday school teachers, deacons, and elders do not follower Christ fully. Jesus responded to uncommitted believers as stated: <strong><em>\u201cThen Jesus said to His disciples, if anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.\u201d (Matthew 16:24) <\/em><\/strong>Are you a committed believer that is following Jesus fully?<br \/>\nAre you a committed believer with the deception before a man but not able to deceive God?<br \/>\nIs there any way for you to hear it better so that you can understand and know that in serving Him, you must follow Him fully? Jesus said, <strong><em>\u201cIf anyone serves Me, let him follow Me: and where I am, there my servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, he My Father will honor.\u201d (John 12:26)<\/em><\/strong> Give your ear to hear God&#8217;s word!<br \/>\nA believer with distracted becomes impossible to follow God fully.<br \/>\nIn the Bible, Martha the sister of Mary and Lazarus followed Jesus but was distracted in her following Jesus. The Bible recorded about Martha\u2019s issue of distraction with the response of Jesus in <strong><em>Luke 10:39-40, \u201cAnd she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus\u2019 feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, \u2018Lord do you care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore, tell her to help me. And Jesus answered and said to her, \u201cMartha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>The case of Martha is the evidence that serving with distraction is not following God fully.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:<\/strong> <em>Ask God to enable you against any agent of distraction.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE: Distraction is an agent of faith-failure.
