{"id":8056,"date":"2019-04-19T19:13:54","date_gmt":"2019-04-19T19:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8056"},"modified":"2019-04-19T19:13:54","modified_gmt":"2019-04-19T19:13:54","slug":"you-are-denying-christ","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8056","title":{"rendered":"YOU ARE DENYING CHRIST!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Faith Capsule:<\/strong> As an acclaimed believer, how are you betraying Jesus?<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Mark 15:1-32<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is written,<strong><em> \u201cNow Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples aside on the road and said to them, <sup>\u201c<\/sup><\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.\u201d (Matthew 20:17-19)<\/em><\/strong> When He speaks and He speaks is a done deal. The word of God does not return back to Him void.<br \/>\nJesus knew beforehand that His disciples were going to stumble and scatter at His arrest. Indeed and in truth all His disciples forsook Him as recorded in <strong><em>Matthew 26:56, \u201c\u2026<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> He was betrayed by His disciples then and acclaimed disciples of today are not different.<br \/>\nAs an acclaimed believer, how are you betraying Jesus?<br \/>\nThe bible recorded, <strong><em>\u201cNow Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came to him, saying, \u201cYou also were with Jesus of Galilee.\u201d But he denied it before them all, saying, \u201cI do not know what you are saying.\u201d (Matthew 26:69-70) <\/em><\/strong>Peter betrayed Him by denying Him.<br \/>\nAre you betraying Him by denying Him?<br \/>\nDoing what Jesus commanded not to do is denying Him. Peter blatantly denied Jesus three times to avoid suffering with Him. Believers of Christ today wants to be identified with Jesus but none wants to suffer with Him or suffer just like He did.<br \/>\nAre you a noise maker, claiming Christ but quiet and not able to testify Jesus as Lord and savior?<br \/>\nJudas took his own way of betraying Jesus at another level. Judas Iscariot was one of the twelve apostles and the treasurer. <strong><em>John 12:6<\/em><\/strong> introduced Judas\u2019 thievery by saying<strong><em>, \u201c\u2026as he had the money box he used to take what was put into it.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Judas disclosed Jesus\u2019 location to the chief priests and elders, at the price of 30 pieces of silver. Also, Judas identified Jesus with a kiss, addressing Him as \u201cMaster\u201d<br \/>\nAs an acclaimed believer, how are you betraying Him?<br \/>\nIs your way of life about lying, deceiving and manipulating other?<br \/>\nAre you having the door of your heart for Satan to gain entrance? It does not matter who you are or how long you have been claiming Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, Satan will attempt to gain entrance into man\u2019s heart.<br \/>\nThe route to becoming a betrayer is a failure not to watch and pray. Jesus warned, <strong><em>\u201c<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation\u2026\u201d (Mark 14:38)<\/em><\/strong> Concerning Judas, the bible mentioned, <strong><em>\u201cThen Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve.\u201d(Luke 22:3)<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nOne with temptation is not watching and praying. Watch and pray; deny the tempter; do not end up as a betrayer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:<\/strong> <em>Ask God for your heart to be shut against all that does not represent Him. <\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Faith Capsule: As an acclaimed believer, how are you betraying Jesus?
