{"id":8159,"date":"2019-07-04T15:00:31","date_gmt":"2019-07-04T15:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8159"},"modified":"2019-07-04T15:00:31","modified_gmt":"2019-07-04T15:00:31","slug":"contentment-is-satisfaction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8159","title":{"rendered":"CONTENTMENT IS SATISFACTION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> In life, having content is having satisfaction.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Philippians 4<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the journey of life, one with contentment is set to arrive at the center of God\u2019s divine assignment.<br \/>\nWith contentment in the journey of life is with the evidence of disciplined to be focused on God continually, regardless of challenges of life.<br \/>\nAre you one that is called by God?<br \/>\nGod&#8217;s calling comes with challenges which demand the character of contentment for one to excel for the glory of God.<br \/>\nMoses is one with contentment that arrived at God\u2019s divine assignment for his life.<br \/>\nMoses\u2019 killing of the Egyptian on behalf of his Hebrew brother made him flee to Midian (desert land) for his life.<br \/>\nContentment was a pointer for Moses and qualified him before God to become a leader of the children of Israelites to bring them out of the bondage of over four hundred years in Egypt to God\u2019s Promised Land. <strong><em>Exodus 2:21 described Moses, \u201cThen Moses was content to live with the man, and he gave Zipporah his daughter to Moses.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>Moses was content, he was disciplined and could not miss the calling of God as a leader for God&#8217;s assignment.<br \/>\nIn life, having content is having satisfaction.<br \/>\nTo be set up for God\u2019s assignment consciously or unconsciously discipline to fear God must be in line with satisfaction regardless of a challenging situation. <strong><em>Proverbs 19:23<\/em><\/strong> records, <strong><em>\u201cThe fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong>Contentment is satisfaction. The book of <strong><em>1Timothy 6: 6-10<\/em><\/strong> states it, <strong><em>\u201cNow godliness with contentment is a great gain.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong>The book of <strong><em>Philippians 4:4-7<\/em><\/strong> mentioned the identities of one with contentment that is living life in satisfaction, <strong><em>\u201cRejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Contentment encases the peace of God, rejoicing, gentleness, lack of anxious but rendering prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving to God in one&#8217;s life.<br \/>\nIn the journey of life, a man that is contented shall not be covetous in the calling of God.<br \/>\nEvidently, Moses is an example of one with satisfaction (contentment) and <strong><em>Ecclesiastes 5:10<\/em><\/strong> records what it means when there is no satisfaction, <strong><em>\u201cHe who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; Nor he who loves abundance, with increase\u2026\u201d<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong>Are you a believer with contentment that answers to the calling of God?<br \/>\nAre you a content believer before God and put off the desire for materials?<br \/>\nWith the calling of God in your life, avoid self-desire, do not to outrun God&#8217;s provisions for self&#8217;s possessions.<br \/>\nBe contented in life and serve God with steadfastness.<br \/>\nHave faith, give self to God.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:<\/strong> <em>Ask God for the grace to live life with contentment.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE: In life, having content is having satisfaction.
