Samson was not to reveal the secret which the angel delivered to his mother but he became enticed by his wife (Delilah) and could not focus and maintain the secret (word) of God over his life.
Samson was pressed by his wife to reveal the secret of God upon his life to his enemy. Judges 16:18-20 records the distraction of Samson, “When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, “Come up once more, for he has told me all his heart.” So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hand.
