{"id":8297,"date":"2019-10-16T16:04:34","date_gmt":"2019-10-16T16:04:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8297"},"modified":"2019-10-16T16:04:34","modified_gmt":"2019-10-16T16:04:34","slug":"wholly-follow-his-word","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8297","title":{"rendered":"WHOLLY FOLLOW HIS WORD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE:&nbsp;<\/strong>Be steadfast to follow the word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Luke 5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Giving self to steadfast in the things of God is not a self-satisfying engagement.<br \/>In this wicked world, one that is self-full cannot be possibly steadfast for God.\u00a0<br \/>King David realized the importance and the need for one to be steadfast when he called on God in\u00a0<strong><em>Psalm 51:10, \u201cCreate in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><br \/>Are you steadfast in your work for God?<br \/>Caleb and Joshua in their walk before God was steadfast, they wholly follow God.\u00a0<br \/>Caleb and Joshua&#8217;s steadfastness before God was the reason not to align with their brethren&#8217;s negative confession against the promise of God over their life. God&#8217;s promise for the Israelites was to bring them all to the Promised Land with milk and honey.<br \/>The Israelites&#8217; negative confession was against the promise of God, the lack of steadfastness before God.<br \/>Caleb and Joshua&#8217;s steadfastness before God was their positive confession that prompted God&#8217;s response,\u00a0<strong><em>\u201cMy servant Caleb because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.\u201d (Numbers 14:24)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Without a doubt, ones that follow the commanding word of God wholly follow God fully.<br \/>Elisha followed God wholly the evidence of his steadfastness before God.<br \/>At the time of God\u2019s calling of Elisha through Elijah,\u00a0<strong><em>1 <g class=\"gr_ gr_62 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Grammar multiReplace\" id=\"62\" data-gr-id=\"62\">Kings<\/g> 19:20-21\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>records Elisha&#8217;s steadfastness,\u201c<strong><em>\u2026He left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, \u2018Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.\u2019 And he said to him, \u2018Go back again, for what have I done to you?\u2019 So Elisha turned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen and slaughtered them and boiled their flesh, using the oxen\u2019s equipment, and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and followed Elijah, and became his servant.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><br \/>Elisha was steadfast before God, he left all behind to empty materials in his life, not to become a victim of the distraction of God&#8217;s calling over his life.\u00a0<br \/>One that cannot give self to God&#8217;s calling will not forgive himself or herself for not to become counted for the blessings to the glory of God.<br \/>Be steadfast to follow the word of God.<br \/>Jesus was passing by when He\u00a0<strong><em>\u201c\u2026saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, \u2018Follow Me.\u2019 So he left all, rose up, and followed Him. Then Levi gave Him a great feast in his own house. And there were a great number of tax collectors and others who sat down with them.\u201d (Luke 5:27-29)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Levi gave up all his possession to follow Jesus.\u00a0<br \/>The Lord God is calling you!<br \/>Come out of self-satisfying to become steadfast before God.<br \/>God&#8217;s word is faithful to enable you in all your endeavors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:&nbsp;<\/strong><em>Ask to wholly follow God all the days of your life.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE:&nbsp;Be steadfast to follow the word of God.
