{"id":8453,"date":"2020-02-07T21:05:35","date_gmt":"2020-02-07T21:05:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8453"},"modified":"2020-02-07T21:05:35","modified_gmt":"2020-02-07T21:05:35","slug":"live-by-gods-word","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8453","title":{"rendered":"LIVE BY GOD&#8217;S WORD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong>&nbsp;To love is commanded by God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>1 Corinthians 13<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul the apostle stated the importance of love,\u00a0<strong><em>1 Corinthians 13:1-3, \u201cThough I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Paul\u2019s word identifies that, demonstrating the gifts of God such: as speaking in tongues, prophesying, reaching out to the needy and making oneself available when or where there is a need but without having love is empty and nothing counts before God.\u00a0<br \/>To love is commanded by God.<br \/>Jesus meant what He was saying when He said,<strong><em>\u00a0\u201cMany will say to Me in that day, \u2018Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?\u2019 And then I will declare to them, \u2018I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!\u2019\u201d(Matthew 7:22-23)\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><br \/>Are you obedient to self-selected but not obedience to all of God&#8217;s command?<br \/>Man can be deceived, one can lie to a pastor, one can manipulate brethren, but God can see the heart of all.\u00a0<br \/>The apostle Paul also describe what love is about,<strong><em>\u00a0\u201cLove suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.\u201d(1 Corinthians 13:4-7)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<br \/>If every believer will consider the description of what love is about as Apostle Paul identifies, there will be a need for the grace of God in the place of having the determination to love because determination will fail.\u00a0<br \/>To love as commanded by God must be in truth and deed.<br \/>To love is not impossible, it is possible to love as God expects from all.<br \/>God is a good God; He did not command for what is not possible to obey.\u00a0<br \/>One that loves as commanded by God will be count before God as one that fully obeys God as\u00a0<strong><em>Galatians 5:14<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0speaks to all,\u00a0<strong><em>\u201cFor all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: \u201cYou shall love your neighbor as yourself.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<br \/>All should examine themselves to know if they truly love as commanded by God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:<\/strong><em>&nbsp;Ask for the grace of obedience to God&#8217;s word.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE:&nbsp;To love is commanded by God. 1 Corinthians 13 Paul the apostle stated the importance of love,\u00a01 Corinthians 13:1-3, \u201cThough I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
