{"id":8522,"date":"2020-04-09T14:41:49","date_gmt":"2020-04-09T14:41:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8522"},"modified":"2020-04-09T14:41:49","modified_gmt":"2020-04-09T14:41:49","slug":"april-2020-faith-mail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=8522","title":{"rendered":"APRIL 2020 FAITH MAIL"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>KNOW TO PLEAD FOR THE MERCY OF\nGOD <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God cannot be intimidated or manipulated by any of His creation for the release of His mercy.<br \/>God testifies to His mercy in\u00a0<strong><em>Romans 9:14-16, \u201c\u2026I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion. So, then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><br \/>God\u2019s mercy is in place for all and nothing under heaven can displace or deny one which God is set to visit with His mercy.<br \/>In this wicked world, understand and know to live life to attain the mercy of God as the Bible records His word.<br \/>God alone will have mercy on whom He chooses but He will have mercy on, one that lives by His command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AMONG WAYS OF PROVOKING GOD TO\nOBTAIN HIS MERCY ARE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The mercy of God is attainable when the life of one aligns with the word of God<\/strong><br \/>One that lives life according to the word of God will always receive the mercy of God. Joseph\u2019s life was the evidence of one that lived according to the word of God, the will of God. Every time there was an incident that could tempt Joseph to violate the word of God, he did not give himself to the temptation to fail before God\u00a0<em><strong>(Genesis 39:7-15).<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0In one instance, he denied the offer to sleep with his master\u2019s wife by claiming,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201c\u2026How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?\u201d (Genesis 39:9)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0The reaction of Joseph to his master&#8217;s wife provoked the mercy of God for Joseph. The Bible mentions,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cBut the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor\u2026\u201d (Genesis 39:21).<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/><strong>The mercy of God is attainable when one loves God<\/strong><br \/>One with the love for God will always provoke the mercy of God. The Bible makes us realize that loving God is keeping His commandments\u00a0<em><strong>(John 14:15).<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0To love God is to fear God.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>The story of Joseph points out that Joseph kept the commandment of God by forbidding adultery when he fled away from sleeping with his master\u2019s wife. Joseph loved God to obtain the mercy of God.<br \/><strong>The mercy of God is attainable when one asks or plead for His mercy<\/strong><br \/>God identified Job as a man with none like him on the earth; a blameless and upright man who fears God and shuns evil but yet, Job was in need to plead for the mercy of God saying,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cFor though I were righteous, I could not answer Him; I would beg mercy of my Judge\u201d (Job 9:15).<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0The testimony of God about the integrity of Job was not enough to excuse Job from pleading for the mercy of God.\u00a0<br \/>Just like Job, the Psalmist had to plead for the mercy of God saying,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cHave mercy on me, O LORD! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death.\u201d (Psalm 9:13).\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Know to plead for the mercy of God, to receive from God.<br \/><strong>The mercy of God is attainable when forgiveness is asked<\/strong><br \/>With repentance, one that asks before God for forgiveness will receive the mercy of God. It is written,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cFor You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You\u201d (Psalm 86:5).<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0God is good and merciful; there is no iota of evil that can deny God&#8217;s mercy on one that calls on God. Asking for forgiveness is a very sure way of obtaining mercy as it is obvious in all the pages of the Bible. The Bible encourages,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cHe who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsake them will have mercy\u201d (Proverbs 28:13).<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>God is merciful to respond with mercy for one that trusts God and knows to ask for forgiveness.<br \/><strong>The mercy of God is obtainable when one fears God<\/strong>\u00a0<br \/>Do you fear God?<br \/><em><strong>Psalm 103:17\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>records for our learning,<em><strong>\u00a0\u201cBut the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him\u2026\u201d Luke 1:50, \u201cAnd His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>To fear God is a possibility to attain His mercy.<br \/>One with the fear of God loves God, having mercy, living by His word.\u00a0<br \/>The word of God is proven to be true and does not return to Him void.
