FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong>\u00a0Walk in line with God,<\/em>\u00a0to be upgraded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Kings 2<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wicked world of today demands constant and consistent upgrading by seeking God.\u00a0
Seeking God is pleasing to God.\u00a0
Pleasing God is to be living by the word of God.\u00a0
In a wicked world, Enoch upgraded himself by walking with God.
He demonstrated a life of fellowship with obedience to God.\u00a0Hebrews 11:5-6\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>records,\u00a0\u201cBy faith, Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, \u201cand was not found, because God had taken him\u201d; for before he was taken, he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>
In this wicked world, to keep self-upgrading is living a life of fellowship with obedience to God.\u00a0
Just like Enoch, Noah lived a life of self-upgrading.\u00a0
For Noah, the Bible records the upgrading life of Noah:\u00a0\u201cNoah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. So, God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.\u201d (Genesis 6:9-12)<\/em><\/strong>
Elijah lived a life of upgrading by taking a stand for God against false religious leaders and kings.\u00a0
Elijah did not align himself with wicked kings and leaders.\u00a0
Elijah lived right before God to keep him upgraded in the wicked world. Elijah did not die but went up to heaven in a whirlwind.\u00a0(2 Kings 2:11)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0
Walking and standing in fellowship with obedience to God in this wicked world is not impossible but possible for one with a purposed heart for God.\u00a0
Elijah stood for God,\u00a0\u201cElijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.\u201d (James 5:17)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0
Today, it is possible to be upgrading as Elijah was in his life journey.\u00a0
Matthew 6:19-21<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0identifies what it takes to remain upgraded,\u00a0\u201cDo not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0
Does the word of God speak to you in this wicked world?
In the wicked world, get upgraded; be built up in the word of God. Apostle Paul identifies the need to be built up in\u00a0Acts 20:32, \u201cSo now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0
It is worthy, commit self to the word of God and be upgraded with continual prayer and to the ministry of the word.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
