BE A TRUE BELIEVER

Faith Capsule: Be a true believer and not to be a victim of lying.

Acts 5:1-11

Abiding in the word of God is the evidence of knowing the truth. Knowing the truth is not to be a liar. With lying in place among believers there will be no one heart, no one soul and that makes self-interest to become believer’s identities. When believers are gathering with one heart, one soul and no self-interest it becomes a gathering with all things in common. Acts 4:32 buttressed, “Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.”
Among your believer’s fellowship, does one heart, one soul and self-interest exist?
Believers that are not truthful with one heart, one soul are self-seeking believers. Evidently, self-seeking believers does not have all things in common.
Word makes us to know that fellowship believers with all things in common, great power will cause them to give witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
Does your fellowship witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus or are you a truthful believer that witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus?
Without doubt, believers with great power to give witness of resurrection of the Lord Jesus become those with great grace upon them. The word of God in Acts 4:33 stated, “And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.”
Are you a believer that is abiding in the word of God living with the evidence of knowing the truth not lying?
Are you attending to fellowship believer with one heart one soul and not self-centered?
With yes answer to the above questions, then your fellowship is with all things in common, great power to witness is your fellowship identity and great grace is upon you and your fellowship.
It is important to know that lying and not being truthful makes believer not to be filled by spirit of God but filled by Satan to be a liar. The bible recorded about Ananias and Saphira’s inability to fellowship with one heart and one soul but in selfishness. In the book of Acts 5:1-11, Ananias and Saphira’s lying and deceiving brethren was pointed out by Peter when he stated, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? (Acts 5:3) Ananias heard the word from Peter and breathed his last breath. Just as it happened to Ananias so it happened to Sapphira. Lying could not deliver them from sudden death. Satan is the author of lying that causes lack of one heart and one soul which deny great of power that witness the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
Be a true believer and not to be a victim of lying.

Prayer for today: Ask for the grace to be a truthful believer for the gory of God.

TRUTH ABOUT WAITING

FAITH CAPSULE: God acts for the one who waits for Him.

Matthew 7

Jesus spoke the truth to those who believes (not just the Jews), “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32) Abiding in the word of God is possible when there is knowledge of the truth. Knowledge is the application of wisdom. Understanding is paying attention to wisdom because wisdom is instruction.
Jesus wants us to know the truth and the truth shall make us free. Among the truth that helps us as His disciple is to know waiting on God.
What is it about waiting?
Waiting is not fun when there is no knowledge of the truth about waiting.
Waiting can be pain but with knowledge of its truth, it often turns to gain.
Waiting in time of challenges can be to remain inactive or in a state of calm, as until something expected happens.
Waiting on God for answer could be postponement, delay, yes or no.However, with knowledge of truth, there will be clear understand that, asking, seeking and knocking for God’s intervention is waiting to get open door answer.
Jesus buttressed, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7) (Matthew 21:22) “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” (Matthew 21:22) In life, understanding to wait by asking, seeking and knocking is the key that makes believer to know the truth. It is the truth that shall make you free.
God will always act for those who wait on Him with knowledge of truth. Isaiah 64:4-5 testifies, “For since the beginning of the world men have not heard nor perceived by the ear; nor has the eye seen any God besides You, who acts for the one who waits for Him. You meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, who remember You in Your ways…”
Among three ways of truth by which He acts for the one who waits for Him are identified in the Isaiah verses are:
God meets with him who rejoices.
God meets with one that does righteousness.
God meets with meets with ones who remember His ways.
Apostle Paul knows the truth of waiting and having God to act when he repeatedly encouraged about rejoicing in the Lord always. (Philippians 4:4) Paul also encouraged us to be awake to righteousness, and do not sin. (1Corinthians 15:34) He admonished as Jesus told us to do communion with remembrance as often as we do. It is a way of God and when one is taking to His way, God acts for one. (I Corinthians 11:23-25)
The word of God is not a mere story but a secret that will deliver with answer unto believer. Believer with a knowledge truth of word will always wait on God with expectation with no frustration. Get knowledge and know that God acts for the one who waits for Him.

Prayer for today: Ask God to open up your understanding of His word.

CHECK YOURSELF

FAITH CAPSULE: Many are exposed to the word but not imparted by the word.

1 Corinthians 13

In the world of today, if the acclaimed believers actually know God instead of knowing about God, darkness should not be prevailing as much as it is in the world of today. Many that are gathering in the name of church are far from one heart, one soul and have nothing common.
As a believer, are you expecting the move of power in a gathering where there is no true love?
Are you expecting power of God where there is no love God of?
Today, seek and search the message from Him. It is written, This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”(1John1:5) God is Light and it is not possible to know Him and not reflect Him. Without doubt, if most population that attends churches on Saturday or Sunday knows God indeed and in truth, darkness would probably have disappeared on the face of the earth.
Can you sincerely check yourself if you know Him? Have you heard from Him what has been declared that God is light or you have only heard about? It is important to avoid being cut off from going to spend a truthful time in His presence. Get to know God by keeping His word rather than knowing about.
Knowing God is keeping His commandment as stated in 1John 2:3-5, “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.” It is very true that, when we love as God requires from us then we know that we know Him.
The love that is required from us is not the love in word or in tongue but it is the unconditional love as recoded in 1Corinthians 13:4-8, “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.” Obey His command and be His light.

Prayer for today: Ask for the grace to truly live by the word of God.

EXPERIENCING DELAY?

FAITH CAPSULE: A failure not to ignore delay can turn man quickly out of the way of God.

Exodus 32:1-14

Delay can be discouraging in the process of hindrance. In the journey of life, delay off a process can possibly terminate a positive expectation. As a believer, there should be understanding that with God, delay is not a denial. Are you experiencing delay in any area of life? It is important to note that, whenever there is a failure to ignore delay there will be doubt in place. With doubt comes every reason to despise the faithfulness of God that is rooted in the word of God.
It is written, “Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”(Exodus32:1)
Moses’ delay from coming down from going to the mountain caused doubt of the Israelites. The Israelites should have known quite well that God could not have abandoned them, yet they gave self to unnecessary worry. As a result of Moses’ delay unfaithfulness took the faithfulness of the Israelites. The Israelites’ experience of delay caused them to look for another god. The truth is when we wait on God we can never become wasted. In life, some delays are what measure our faithfulness before God. When Moses’ delay became glaring in the sight of the children of Israel, they began to seek for a god to take over from God that cannot be substituted. A failure not to ignore delay can turn man quickly out of the way of God.
Are you experiencing any delay?
Your delay will turn unto deliverance if you trust and wait in the name of Jesus. The Bible declares in Philippians 4:6-7, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” A state of unexpected delay will definitely generate concern and there will be every reason to be anxious. The word encourages by stating the antidote for anxiousness: Take all to God in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, and the peace of God will take over you. Instead of you seeing delay be encouraged by seeing in the word of God. God alone is the One that delivers and He alone is in control of all. Deny delay; declare all His goodness and His mercy that never expire.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace to wait patiently on the hand of God.

KNOW TO WAIT

FAITH CAPSULE: Wait and keep looking up from Him.

Psalm 91

Asking, seeking and knocking for God’s intervention is waiting to get open door answer. God is a good God that cares for His creation. Isaiah 64:4 testifies, “For since the beginning of the world men have not heard nor perceived by the ear; nor has the eye seen any God besides You, who acts for the one who waits for Him.”
Are you with understanding that knowing to wait is also rooted in asking, seeking and knocking? Are you one that assumes for answer in time of challenges? God is a caring God who acts for the one who waits for Him. Jesus buttressed, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7) (Matthew 21:22) “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” (Matthew 21:22) Waiting by asking, seeking and knocking is the key to receiving from God. However, waiting that is not rooted in understanding that God hears all and answers all at His appointed time will lead to frustration. Where there is frustration rebellion and disobedience reigns.
It is written in Psalm 91:15, “He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.” (Psalm 91:15) Knowing to call on Him will provoke His hand for an undeniable miracle because He is God that is true to His word. The book of Isaiah 58:9 also confirmed God’s faithfulness, “Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am…’”
It was the understanding and knowing to wait that provoked King David in 1 Samuel 22:4, “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.” It is the heart that trusts to remember calling in the midst of troubling challenges. King David was an example of one with understands to wait and not go to war without looking up to seek the face of God. Twice in 1 Samuel 23, verses 2 and 4, he repeatedly went and inquired from God before going to war against the Philistines.
The Israelites in bondage of over four hundred years cried to God, “And the LORD said: ‘I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians…” (Exodus 3:7-8) God is consistent not fail in honoring His word; do not fail to wait in asking, seeking and knocking.
Look up and ask from Him.

Prayer for today: Ask God to enable you with the grace of focusing in waiting to receive from Him.
