FAITH CAPSULE: Great is the mercy of God!
Genesis 19:1-21
The mercy of God is His endurance forever.
The word in1 Chronicles 16:34 speaks to all, confirming the endurance of God that is forever,“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
The everlasting God exists in His mercy.
The mercy of God satisfies all areas of life.
The Psalmist records in Psalm 90:14, “Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.”
The mercy of God inhabits joy and gladness.
Proverbs 20:28 says, “Mercy and truth preserve the king…”
The Mercy of God will not preserve just the identified as king, but all who live life with the fear of God will gain the attention of God for His mercy.
From this moment, live consistently by the word of God.
Attain the unfailing mercy of God.
Understand, know how to walk in the word of God, and be enabled by God, not to run out of His mercy.
The mercy of God is in place to deliver and to preserve.
God is a merciful God.
Mercy belongs to God.
Mercy is unquestionably the doing of God.
No one is in place to question why the mercy of God answers for one in need of the hand of God.
Mercy is the character of God.
God is rich in mercy, and His mercy is great.
One with the mercy of God shall be relieved from suffering.
The mercy of God is compassion, lovingkindness, favor, and steadfastness.
The mercy of God is a gift, an undeserved compassion for one who receives it.
In the mercy of God, there is leniency.
Nehemiah 9:31 describes the mercy of God, “Nevertheless in Your great mercy. You did not utterly consume them nor forsake them; For You are God, gracious and merciful.”
Without doubt, after the resurrection of Jesus, it is to give regard to God for the fullest mercy of God that is sending Jesus for the sins of all.
The Apostle described the mercy of God inTitus 3:4-7, ” But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
Great is the mercy of God!
Lot and his wife were in the place of destruction when the mercy of God found them for deliverance.
Despite the reluctance of Lot to come out of the destruction in Sodom and Gomorrah, the mercy of God was in place for the deliverance of Lot.
Genesis 19:19 records the testimony of the mercy of God over Lot, “Indeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life…”
Prayer for today: Meditate prayerfully asking for the mercy of God over your life.
