LIVE FOR GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: To walk worthy, living for God should be glaring.

Daniel 6

Are you living for God, walking worthily, but your world cannot see it in you?
Daniel is the evidence that lived a life of preparation by living for God.
Daniel experienced God and could not live a life of waste; he lived for God.
Daniel and his friends were exiles and captive servants rather than traditional domestic slaves.
They were forcibly taken from Jerusalem by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon to serve the royal court.
Despite the challenges of life, Daniel lived a life, a kind of preparation to live for God; he walked worthily to gain the attention of God.
It was the desire for God that enabled Daniel to live for God.
WHAT DID DANIEL DO THAT DEMONSTRATED HE PREPARED TO LIVE FOR GOD BY HIS WAY OF LIFE?
Daniel 1:8 records of Daniel,“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs.”
The record about Daniel is his way to prepare not to live outside of God.
Daniel did not defile himself, the evidence of giving regards to God.
A characteristic of one who gives regards to God is living for God, not becoming a victim of destruction.
Daniel focused on God. He did not defile himself before, but made it a way of living for God.
At one time, when Daniel was under judgment for serving his God.
In the midst of the sentence against him, he demonstrated as a believer of God prepared by way of living for God.
Daniel prepared for God, took time to call on God as a way of one who lives for God, not to be a victim of an untimely death.
Daniel 6:10 states, “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.”
The life of Daniel is the preparation of one who lives life for God, seeking God diligently.
Living for God is seeking Him diligently.
Daniel lived for God and could not be a victim of the wicked world.
The Bible identifies the importance of the description of living for God, to walk worthy of His glory:
Daniel had a purposed heart to walk with God.
Daniel had a custom approach seeking God in prayer (three times a day) that is undeniable.
Living for God was glaring in the life of Daniel.
An unbelieving king identified that Daniel lived for God when the King testified that Daniel served God continually.
By the testimony about Daniel, living for God as a way of life, walking worthy before God, is possible for one who understands the will of God for all.

Prayer for today: Ask God to occupy your life so will live for God.
