FAITH CAPSULE: Abraham lived a life of obedience to experience God.

Genesis 22

Are you living a life of obedience or disobedience?
Live a life of obedience to God.
The word of God demands obedience to His word.
Live obediently to gain in the promise of God.
Are you living a life of obedience or disobedience?
Obedience to God will drive the obedient one to arrive at the divine assignment, but disobedience will prevent one from reaching as expected before God.
Abraham lived a life of obedience to the word of God.
God called him out of his land, and he and his family left, not knowing the challenges ahead.
Genesis 22:1-3 records: “Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.” 
Abraham obeyed the calling of God.
Abraham was counted as faithful, which positioned him for the divine assignment. (Hebrews 11:8)
Abraham obeyed and did not fail before God to claim God’s promise.(Hebrews 11:17)
Just like Abraham, know that obeying the word of God will gain access to the presence of God.
How is your journey of life in obedience to God?
In the journey of life, there is no reasonable excuse for disobedience to God.
God’s deliverance plan from destruction is a deliverance plan for Lot and his family, an escape from destruction.
Genesis 19:17 records, “So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.”
The direction for Lot is to escape sudden death, which demands obedience.
Claiming to be living a life of obedience is easier said than done.
Live a life of obedience before God, who sees all ways of life under heaven.
To live a life with the fear of God is to be humble and obey continually.
Tenderness of heart is rooted in the word of God, a place for humility. 
Without humility, obedience is not possible. 
Philippians 2:8 records of Jesus, “…humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” 
The humble will fear God. 
Do you fear God indeed and in truth? 
To live for God is to obey His word.
What has taken the place of God in your life, replacing your living life for God?
