Are you worrying consciously or unconsciously?
Worrying is not of God.
Worrying is the evidence of doubt, the weapon used by the devil to contaminate or terminate the testimony of a believer in God.
Jesus warns in Matthew 6:25, “Do not worry about your life…”
In all that pertains to life, there should be no WORRYING.
Worrying is against God.
Worrying is calling God a liar, looking away from God to live with no regard to God.
Worrying is not worshiping God.
Not worshipping God is not seeking God.
Not seeking God is taking a position that will not see God.
Worrying is a spirit; it is not of God.
One who worries is far from God.
One who is distant, not far from God, is the consequence of having no place for God.
Where worrying settles, it builds up to fear.
One with no fear of God will become full of worrying.
Worrying can lead to wrong decisions, running instead of walking.
Worrying excuses no one.
Giving excuses for worrying will not stand before God.
One who is occupied by the world will worry.
For example, the disciples of Jesus demonstrated fear rooted in worrying.
After the resurrection, Jesus visited the disciples as they locked themselves in the state of their fear of the Jews. John 20:19-20 documents, “Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.”
Worrying shuts down one with no fear.
The disciples were shut down, and not because of fear.
Are you living in doubt that the Lord is awake in your life if you will give yourself to the Lord?
Thomas, a disciple of Jesus, demonstrated doubt instead of keeping his eyes on God.
John 20:24-25 documents the doubt of Thomas in the place of fear that is rooted in worrying: “Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples, therefore, said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
One cannot worry and have faith at the same time.
Worrying and fearing the world is not walking with God.
Prayer for today:
Pray that every spirit that is not of God cease answering in your life.
Ask for the strength and character of worshipping God in all areas of life.
Ask that every force that keeps you from God be separated from you.
