ALL ATTENTION TO GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Living for the glory of God is giving God attention.

Isaiah 45

God gave His attention to all by giving His beloved son.
Give God His worthy attention and receive His desired intention.
Respond to God by living for His glory.
Revelation 4:11 informs all, “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.”
God deserves attention from all creation.
Jesus came for all by declaring, “…I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John10:10)
The reason for His coming is the evidence of the love of God for all.
The love of God for all is to live for the glory of God.
Living for the glory of God is to gain and retain the presence of God.
The Ten Commandments reveal how much attention God demands from His creation.
Exodus 20:3-8 records, “You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
Living for the glory of God is giving God attention.
A Jealous God demands full attention.
Isaiah 45:4-7 about His desire for us to know Him.
God is the only God to know, and there is none besides Him.
God is worthy to receive glory and honor.
In His commandment, He did not ask for too much.
God cares for His children, as He expects His children to give Him attention.
Are you giving Him attention only by mouth?
Attending to Him just by mouth is not enough, but serving Him indeed, and in truth.
Are you giving God due attention?
God spoke in Isaiah 45:9, “Woe to him who strives with his Maker…” Denying Him His due attention is striving with Him.
Give God His worthy attention to gain and retain His presence.
Knowing to give self to the word of God is giving Him attention.
Apostle Paul encourages all, “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” (Acts 20:32)

Prayer for today: Ask to be delivered and be preserved from every kind of spirit that takes away one not to give God due attention.

MUST FEAR GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: No one is born with the fear of God.

Psalm 34

The book of Ecclesiastes concluded, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandment, for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14)
Nothing is better than having the fear of God reign in the life of one.
The Psalmist pointed out, “The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them.” (Psalm 34:7)
In this world of wickedness, nothing is better than having the untouchable force of protection around those who fear God.
Psalm 34:9 also states, “Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.”
Indeed, God is good, and His Word does not fail.
Do you have the kind of fear possessed as the one who fears and is living in heaven on earth?
No one is born with the fear of God.
To fear God comes when there is understanding, knowledge, and wisdom of God.
Proverbs 15:33 buttress, “The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom.”
Deuteronomy 31:12-13 records, “Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the LORD your God and carefully observe all the words of this law, and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the LORD your God as long as you live in the land which you cross the Jordan to possess.”
Living to fear God is not limited to a group but all people.
Also, it is not limited to a time in the history of creation.
As an acclaimed believer in the Word of God, do you have to introduce yourself as one who fears God, or does your approach to living life always introduce you as one who fears God?
To fear God is a characteristic that can not be hidden but evidence.
Do you desire the fear of God to take over your life?
All should be studying and gaining more understanding of the Lord God from the words of His mouth.
No one is born with the fear of God.
To fear God is not of determination, but with desire, one will grow to fear God.
Desire to fear God and He will deposit His fear in you.
God is faithful to deliver what He promises in one with a desire to fear God.
With desire, all should be encouraged to fear God.
Psalm 56:4 states, “In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?”
Live to fear God!

Prayer for today: Ask for the fear of the Lord God to reign and overwhelm your life.

DIVINE ASSIGNMENT

FAITH CAPSULE: Turn to God to be turned into the center of divine assignment.

1 Samuel 17

Are you positioning yourself well enough that the Lord can get your attention?
Every turning point is directly rooted in positioning.
Also, the turning point of everyone is not the same.
The turning point for Moses came to be at Horeb, the Mountain of God. The Bible records, “…the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” (Exodus 3:2-3)
God waited for Moses to turn before God called him.
Exodus 3:4 records, “So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”
The turning point of David to the center of divine assignment did not manifest until he killed Goliath.
David responded to his father when he went to check on his brothers, that was among the armies of Israel at the battle camp against Goliath and the Philistines.
The obedience of David to his father led him to the turning point, not returning as a shepherd boy but turning into a giant killer and next in line as king for the people of God.
The giant Goliath, as strong as he was, caused fear to hold down the armies of Israel.
The giant Goliath, as strong as he was, caused fear to hold down the armies of Israel.
The armies of Israel were under incessant insult from Goliath for forty days, morning and evening.
Goliath went as far as stating, “’ I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.’ When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.” (I Samuel 17:10-11)
The word of Goliath caused David to look and behold before turning around to face Goliath.
David rejected every persuasion from his brother and King Saul to not fight Goliath.
The turning of David was activated when he responded to Goliath, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you…” (1 Samuel 17:45-46) David did what he said, and Goliath was history.
It was after the fall of Goliath that David took a turn to the center of his divine assignment.
Without turning to God to arrive at divine assignment, is failure a possibility

Prayer for today: Ask God to help you not to miss when He is calling you to see and turn to the center of your divine assignment.

JANUARY 2024 FAITH MAIL

LET THE NEW YEAR BE

Let the New Year be a year that you become a ride for God that His presence occupies you to become established in you.
Ask God to make you become a rideable one for His presence.
A tied donkey became a rideable one for Jesus.
Matthew 21:1-3 documents, “Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”
Jesus needed a ride for His glory.
A donkey tie had to be released for Jesus to ride for His glory.
Matthew 21:7 confirms, “So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them.”
For the Year 2024, Meditate in prayer that whatever is tying you down, to deny your availability as a ride and fill by the presence of God, shall release you by the Word of God that asks for your release, in the name of Jesus.
NEED TO GIVE YOURSELF TO THE WORD OF GOD
Let the new beginning become a season of fulfillment (realization) of God in your life.
All it takes to live a life of the fulfillment of God is to become constantly filled and full of the Word of God that was in the beginning with God.
John 1: 1-2 describes, “…the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.”
The realization of God in your life will be the evidence of light that shines in the darkness of the wicked world.
Spending time on the Word of God is a time of listening to the voice of God that speaks for all to obey.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 records for all, “If you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you because you obey the voice of the LORD your God.”
Give self to the Word of God.
Gain and retain the presence of God to have rest in the promise of God.
New Year resolution will not give the rest as the Word of God will.
Let your resolution be in the presence of God.
The presence of God is in the Word of God.
Through the journey, the children of Israel were being led constantly by the presence of God,
giving the Israelites direction and leadership that always resulted in rest when they were obedient.
NEED TO KNOW THE NEW YEAR
The Old Year is gone while the New Year is on.
Interestingly, the enemy remains the same but operates differently.
By prayer, God will see His people through the journey of a year.
The year is full of promises of God.
The promise of God is a blessing.
His promises do not have sorrow embedded in it.
Proverbs 10:22 informs all, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.”
The blessings of God come with condition.
The conditions of His blessing can be uncomfortable and inconvenient, exceedingly challenging.
The conditions of claiming His blessing cannot be compromised.
In the journey of a year, know to claim the blessing of God, and with desire, pray that God will enable you to live for Him.
NEED TO PRAY
Pray before God to see you through the journey of a year.
Ask God to wake you up from sleeping physically or spiritually, not to become a victim of evil.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 informs all there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.
In the place of praying, sleeping will cause one to miss the visitation of God.
Jesus and some of His disciples went to pray on Mount Gethsemane.
At the time of prayer, Jesus rose from prayer and came to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow (Luke 22:45).
In the New Year, desire to become prayerful.
Acys 6:4 encourages, “But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
Let prayer be your way of life in the New Year.
Understand and know there is no reasonable excuse for the consequence of not spending time in prayer.
Today and in the coming days, be watchful and prayerful as 1 Peter 4:7 mentioned that the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
Be awake and not miss to gain and retain the presence of God.

CALL ON GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Are you calling for the return of God just like David?

1 Samuel 3

The communication of God is His revelation.
When there is no revelation, transformation ceases.
The journey of life without transformation will lead to termination.
At one point, Davids asked the Lord to return for him to experience deliverance.
The request of David is evidence to the testimony that without communication, which is a revelation, every struggle of life reigns.
How is your revelation experience?
Just like David said, revelation from God will bring forth deliverance, and salvation will reign.
King David states in Psalm 6:4, “Return, O Lord, deliver me! Oh, save me for your mercies’ sake!”
Considering the calling of David on God, could it have been a cry at a time when God had departed from him?
It is clear that when God departs from one or His people, all that is of God and from God ceases to manifest itself.
It is a dangerous ground to be where revelation from God ceases.
Are you calling for the return of God just like David?
The word of God, which is the presence of God, will undoubtedly bring God back to His people if His people will hear and understand studying the word of God.
At a point in time in Shiloh when Eli was the priest, it is recorded, “…the word of Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation.” (1 Samuel 3:1)
The situation of no revelation in Shiloh called for the return of God.
The return of the Lord is His appearance, and it took the coming of Samuel for revelation to come back to Shiloh.
1 Samuel 3:21 states, “Then the LORD appeared again in Shiloh. For the LORD revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.” God, who appeared again in Shiloh, will also appear again (return) to visit you if you have lost contact with Him or if you have limited His appearance.
Where His Word becomes rare, widespread revelation will cease.
In this season of new beginnings, engage the word of God more often and cue to getting revelation from God to deliver and preserve you in the coming days, weeks, months, and years.
The Psalmist is not ignorant of his need when he calls for the return of God.
Psalm 106:4 records, “Remember me, O LORD, with the favor You have toward Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation.”
What are you looking up to Him for?
Is it for Him to return, remember, or to visit you?
The Psalmist wanted God to remember and visit him because when God remembers or visits, one receives the benefit of His chosen ones.
You will be able to rejoice in the gladness of His nation and will be able to glory with His inheritance. (Psalm 106:5)
God is forever consistent.
He is God who returns to reveal.
He is the God that remembers to favor and God, that visits with salvation.

Prayer for today: God remembers with favor, and a visit with salvation is what to ask for.
