FAITH CAPSULE: To have a relationship with God is rooted in giving oneself to the word of God.
Proverbs 3
Build a personal relationship with God.
One that is built up by the word of God is bound to have a relationship with God.
Do you have the desire to be built by the word of God?
One built by the word of God will not become a victim of destruction.
The word of God identifies the need to be built, stating, “Because they do not regard the works of the Lord, Nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them And not build them up.” (Psalm 28:5 )
Give yourself to the word of God to build you.
Keep in mind, the word of God is God. (John1:1)
Jesus is the Word of God.
One who gives oneself to the word will have a relationship with the word of God.
One with a relationship with God will not fall off the track of life.
Relationship with God is rooted in faithfulness.
Faithfulness is to keep abiding in the presence of God.
Are you full of the word of God, to walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; to serve Him and hold fast to Him?
Keep in mind that the word of God is a light for navigation in this wicked world.
Personalize the word of God, and the wisdom and knowledge will give stability, so as not to become a victim of a wicked world.
Proverbs 3 records that when one keeps the word of God in the heart, such shall have the length of days and long life with peace.
Mercy and truth will not forsake such.
Having a relationship with God will enable one not to despise nor detest His correction.
Have the desire to live in a personal relationship to:
Keep the word of God as a way of life; to walk safely without stumbling; not be afraid of any terror nor trouble from the wicked ones.
A relationship with God will result in confidence in the Lord and not withdrawing from doing good when it is necessary.
The relationship with God will keep one from devising evil in the wicked world.
The Word of God is His command, His law, which gives light, and without it, there is nothing anyone will do in safety.
Proverbs 6:23 refers to the word of God as light and for teaching.
Psalm 119:105 states that the word is a lamp for feet and a light on the path.
Proverb 6:22 buttresses, “When you roam, they will lead you; When you sleep, they will keep you; And when you awake, they will speak with you.”
Let your desire be for a relationship with the word of God.
A relationship to enable navigating the wicked world.
