FEAR GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: This season, fear God to experience the glory of God.

Ecclesiastes 12

Faith is in hearing the word of God.
Faith is the source of fearing God.
A failure not to fear God is in doubt, evidence of not hearing the word of God to keep.
Romans 10:17 records, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Without a doubt, not hearing the word of God will give fear a place in the position of faith.
All that God wants from all is to hear and have fear for Him.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 states, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all.” Hear to fear God.
To fear God is the key to live life for His glory.
God sent Moses the importance of hearing to fear Him.
Deuteronomy 4:10 states, “…Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.”
Hearing the word of God is crucial to having faith, to fear God by not giving oneself to fear.
The word of God through Moses for the children of Israel does not exempt all today.
God is the same before yesterday, today, and forever.
What is it denying you not to hear the word of God, to fear God?
The word of God against hindrance that denies to hear and not fear sounded for Israelites, “Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones; so you shall put away the evil from among you, and all Israel shall hear and fear.” (Deuteronomy 21:21)
The force that hinders not hearing the word of God, to fear God, shall become terminated.
FEAR THE LORD GOD
Fear the Lord God, as some words in the Bible demand:
Joshua 24:14 states, “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord!”
Deuteronomy 10:12, “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”
THE EXPERIENCES WITH THE FEAR OF THE LORD
The experience of one that fears the Lord God as the Bible identifies:
Psalm 128:1, “Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.
Proverbs 15:33, “The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom…”
Psalm 19:23, “The fear of the Lord leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction, He will not be visited with evil.”
Acts 9:31, “And walking in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.”
Claiming as a believer is living by hearing the word of God that enable the hearer of the word to live in the fear of God.

Prayer for today: Ask for the fear of God established in your life.

THE TIME NOW!

Faith Capsule: It is time to know that praying without watching is not enough for deliverance.

Nehemiah 4

The time these days demands is watching and praying.
Praying without watching is not enough; watching without praying will not prevail.
At the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus responded to His disciples who could not stay up in praying and watching, “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)
In this world of wickedness, it will take watching and praying to live an overcome.
Praying without watching is not enough; watching without praying will not prevail.
Temptation is rampant everywhere and ready to kill, steal and destroy. Thank God for the One that came to give life abundantly.
The word to overcome temptation for anyone who cares to assimilate it is: “WATCH and PRAY.”
Temptation, discouragement, disruption, and confusion will have a place to terminate its victim.
Through the pages of the Bible, there are situations where watching and praying have denied temptation from discouraging children of God and could not become destroyed.
Nehemiah had the hand of God to go and rebuild the wall of Jerusalem. Despite God being on the move to rebuild through Nehemiah, agents of the evil one, Sanballat, Tobiah, and others, took a stand against the attempt to rebuild.
Just as the work of rebuilding was to round up, the agents of the evil one re-intensified their effort to terminate the project.
They came up with different conspiracies to create confusion. Notwithstanding, Nehemiah responded when he claimed, “Nevertheless we made our prayer to our God, and because of them we set a watch against them day and night.”(Nehemiah 4:9)
Nehemiah’s approach was in line with the word that calls to “WATCH and PRAY.”
How did they watch and pray?
Prayer is always non-stop and a continuous process.
Watching is to carefully apply actions that were clear in the move by Nehemiah.
Nehemiah positioned men at strategic places, set people up in order, looked into what called for attention by discouraging every reason to be afraid, remembered the great works of God, and put the trumpet in place (a resounding weapon that calls for backup). (Nehemiah 4: 13-18)
Are you one who prays constantly without watching?
With your prayer life, begin to watch as you maintain a position that is right before God and set your house in order.
Be constantly encouraged in His word to deny fear.
Always remember the Lord by considering the work of His hand.
Above all, speak out (blow your trumpet) where you need to and do not compromise.
Engage watching just like Nehemiah.
Allow your way of life to be prayerfully occupied.
Trust and hope in God to know that victory shall sound in your direction.
Know to set for victory just like Nehemiah was.

Prayer for today: Ask for the deliverance of God over you from the evil one that I may not be a reproach of the foolish one.

FAITH IN ACTION

FAITH CAPSULE: One with faith pleases God and provokes God to visit one with faith.

2 Kings 20:1-11, Daniel 6

One with faith pleases God and provokes God to visit one with faith.
The truth that Jesus knows what all wants before asking is not an excuse not to ask.
One who asks puts faith into action.
God wants all to show forth faith.
Faith pleases God and moves God to become pleased with the faithful one.
Hebrews 11:6 records, “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Also, know that “…For the LORD is the God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.” (1 Samuel 2:3)
The weight of actions that move the hand of God determines the magnitude of miracles.
Getting into prayer is going to action.
Those who are waiting on God for challenges are calling on God, who waits to act for those who wait on Him.
Make prayer a way of life as your custom to experiencing breakthroughs in the face of a breakdown.
The Bible talks about how Daniel refused to bow to a golden image that prompted the attempt to break him down in the den of hungry lions, “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.’ (Daniel 6:10)
In the case of Daniel, having the custom of prayer can be compared to taking vitamins.
Vitamins will build systems up so that sickness will not have its way. Daniel did not call on prayer partners when trouble showed because prayer was his custom (vitamin).
Hezekiah knew what prayer could do when he prayed for deliverance from untimely death.
In his commitment to God, he turned to prayer to deny empty pride in his life.
With pride, untimely termination becomes evident.
Pride set in the heart of Hezekiah when he defeated Sennacherib. (2 Chronicles 32:25)
Pride before God is like a death sentence.
Hezekiah became sick and near death.
Of his conviction that God answers prayer, his sickness could not prevent him from praying to get an answer from God.
2 Kings 20:2-3 records, “Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD, saying, “Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight…”
God heard the prayer of Hezekiah and added fifteen years.
Prayer dispositions pride and can be inconvenient.
With commitment, give yourself to prayer to gain the attention of God for deliverance.
Deny hindrances from taking away your prayer time before the prayer-answering God.

Prayer for today: Ask for the growth in faith to make prayer a custom.

KNOW TO ASK

FAITH CAPSULE: Knowing to ask is praying to God without doubt.

2 Samuel 18, 19:1-20

Prayer is communicating with God.
When God says yes, it is good; when God says no, it is good.
Pray to ask from God, the giver of all things.
The word of God commands, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”(Matthew 7:7)
Praying to God is not a suggestion but a task to engage to gain the attention of God.
Jesus was so sure about the effect of obeying when He declared, “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:8-12)
Anyone who asks (prays) knows about the fact that there is a prayer-answering God.
Unfortunately, knowing about is not enough, but when one knows God, one will consistently become persistent in gaining the attention of God.
There should be the understanding of not giving up when asking from God, that does not fail to give.
Get to know the promise in the word of God shall settle to receive from God.
God is a good God that will never fail, and He will do what He says He will do.
The God who never lies testifies to the efficacy of His word, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
God commanded: you ask, and so shall be to the glory of God.
Are you asking, or are you whining?
The word of Hezekiah demonstrates that praying is like a labor room where undeniable proof becomes manifestation.
When Sennacherib staged an offensive against Hezekiah by boasting against God through his servant Rabshakeh, Hezekiah confessed, “…This day is a day of trouble, and rebuke and blasphemy; for the children have come to birth, but there is no strength to bring them forth.” (2 Kings 19:3)
The strength to push for birth to come forth is a prayer, evidence of the reaction of Hezekiah.
Hezekiah prayed before the Lord God, and God answered him.
God sent Isaiah to go and say to Hezekiah, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard.” (2 Kings 19:20)
Prayer demands strength, not to faint when asking from God.

Prayer for today: Ask God for strength to persevere in prayer.

GET GOD INVOLVED

FAITH CAPSULE: Get God involved in all your endeavors.

Genesis 11:1-9

It does not matter how much you take challenges before God.
God is a caring God that knows all. He is the creation of all.
God, the creation of all, spoke to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
The word of God He said to Jeremiah speaks to all without exception.
God knows the end of all from the beginning.
When God proposes, no man can dispose of it.
What God disposes; no man can propose it.
Have you been proposing without God?
Have you taken your proposal before God to find out whether or not it is in line with Him?
A believer of God should always go to God with proposals, the evidence of trusting and hoping in God.
Get God involved!
It does not matter who you are or where you are under the heaven, none beyond the reach of God, the creator.
Genesis 11:4 states, “And they said, ‘Come let us build ourselves a city and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.’” The proposed building was not the problem, but the motive behind the proposal conflicted with the Almighty God of creation.
Having been blessed with a plain land that does not have obstruction to construction, the people wanted to construct and grow beyond their boundaries.
Are you in the process of abusing the blessing of God?
Are you attempting to make yourself a name instead of having His name become glorified?
If they were Godly-minded, they would have consulted Him.
Get God involved in all your endeavors.
What are you trying to accomplish with the proposal in your heart?
Do you want to stand tall above and beyond your level?
Are you one attempting to raise your shoulder above your head?
Have you taken your challenge to God?
Nothing is wrong in proposing to grow big, but it can become wrong to move outside of God.
The proposal, however, that does not center on God is an indirect withdrawal from the only One who can make or unmake the fulfillment of the proposal.
It does not matter who you are or where you are under the heaven, none beyond the reach of God, the creator.
Prayerfully, let God know what He has already known.
He has seen the future from the past.
He is a jealous God, and He deserves all your attention so He can attend to you even more than you expected.
Take all your proposals, desires, hopes, and dreams to the Lord with a humble heart, and He will increase you.

Prayer for today: Ask that you be enabled to praise God with all your heart and glorify Him.
