Know His Name To Trust Him

FAITH CAPSULE: Those who trust Him enough to seek Him find the secret of knowing the name to call.

Psalm 18

Those who know His name (not those who know about His name) will put their trust in Him.
His name is Mighty God; the all sufficient, and that settles it. The book of Proverbs 18:10 testify about the awesomeness power of His name stating that, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. (Proverbs 18:10)
The name of God that you know will work for you. If you know Him as healing God and you call Him for healing He will answer. You call Him with understanding and knowledge not because you are conversing with people around you that are calling Him healer. Know it that God is the healing healer; the only God that reverses the irreversible and the God that makes a way where there is no way.
The Psalmist said “For you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You”. (Psalm 9:10) David recognized God as God that does not forsake those who seek Him. David called Him by His name because he knows Him as a deliverer.
Do you know His name? Which God are you calling concerning your challenge? How will you call Him when you do not know His name?
The Psalmist said it all in this same verse when he said “For you LORD have not forsaken those who seek You” (Psalm 9:10)
David trust Him enough and stated, “I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.” (Psalm 16:8) Why not engage the testimonies of trust and be encouraged in the Lord? David know to trust in God as his strength; his rock and his fortress as a result he declared, “I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.” (Psalm 18:3) Get to know God, keep His testimonies by meditating on His testimonies.
Those who trust Him enough to seek Him find the secret of knowing the name to call.
When you seek Him, you will have word encounter; He will reveal Himself; and He will send you with His name. When you seek Him you will also know to put your trust in Him.
God is a God of identity and He will not show up to you or send you without backing you with His name. Trust Him and you will rest and not rust away.

Prayer for today: Ask for the grace to trust in Him and only in His name fully.

Where Is Your Trust?

FAITH CAPSULE: Information from God is the transformation unto God’s side.

Psalm 27

Where have you been putting your trust? The question is not who you trust. It is one thing to say, “I trust God”, but it is another thing for one to actually put trust in Him. Could it be that you think you trust Him? Trust should not be about thought; it should be a knowing that comes from an understanding that God’s name is a strong tower.
In every area of challenge, a failure to trust and rest in Him is a passage to rust and fall for one’s challenge. It is worthy to trust in Him and rest from rust.
The source of trusting God is in knowing the name of God. The Psalmist stated clearly, “And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.” (Psalm 9:10) As a result of this statement, it is clear that the source of trust is in knowing the name of God not just knowing about the name of God. Ones that truly know His name shall seek Him and one cannot seek Him and not found Him.
Trusting God has not been working for you because you assume you know when the fact is, you only know about Him. Until there is a place for understanding and knowledge of information, transformation is in total and complete delay. Consider this a serious detriment to your breakthrough in life. Information from God is the transformation unto God’s side. When you are transformed unto His side nothing formed against you will prosper. You will rest and put all your trust in His awesome power of deliverance. In trusting God there is undeniable victory over confronting challenges. After the killing of Goliath, David became popular and becoming the king after Saul was eminent. Saul knowing it that David was set to be the next king charged after David’s life. David, from mountain to mountain, wilderness to wilderness was being chased by Saul and all the resources in the power of Saul, to kill and stop David from getting to his divine destination. In every step that David took, it is written that he constantly asked from God about when, where and how to move. That was a demonstration of putting trust in the name of God. It is written, “And David stayed in strongholds in the wilderness, and remained in the mountains in the Wilderness of Ziph. Saul sought him every day, but God did not deliver him into his hand.” (1Samuel 23:14) David put his entire move in the trust of God. Are you one that knows to trust God or knows about trust? Why not examine your conscience and determine within yourself if you have actually been consciously and consistently putting your trust in Him during stormy season.

Prayer for today: Ask God for His grace that enables understanding and knowledge to trust Him.

Be Strong And Of Good Courage Part 2

FAITH CAPSULE: Without fear, there will be that ability to see victory even when the victory is yet to be there.

Exodus 14

Courage is to shut fear down and open up to faith. Faith is what provokes the move of God’s, hand not fear. With strength and courage, the grace to observe the word will lead to doing what the Lord asked from us to do. The word that He spoke to Joshua is also speaking to us, “Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left that you may prosper wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:7) Evidently, being strong and courageous in the face of undeniable challenge or overwhelming pressure will make a believer prevail. When crossing the Red Sea, the children of Israel demonstrated great fear when Pharaoh and his force drew near to them. The Bible recorded, “And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord. Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt?” (Exodus 14:10-11)  The Children of Israel cried unto God and Moses responded, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13-14) Being strong in the Lord (having strength in the joy of the Lord) enabled the children of Israel to stand still. The lesson is clear: having courage will terminate fear. Without fear, there will be that ability to see victory even when the victory is yet to be there. Most times quoting the word of God is easier said than done. It is easy to confess, “The Lord will not leave me nor forsake me”, but it can be challenging to hold on to His Word of grace that will keep us in His promise. The word of God has to be consciously activated before it can deliver unto us the promise. Challenges might persist; challenges might become present unexpectedly, however, standing in the word of God will make us to become victorious. It is worthy to know and accept that the word of God is living and it is deliverance for those that choose to live in the word of God and not in the word of this world.

Prayer for today: Ask for the fear of God to reign and rule every area of your life.

Be Strong And Of Good Courage

BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE

FAITH CAPSULE: Being strong and courageous is what becomes of one that consistently meditates on the word of God.

Joshua 1
When Joshua took over the challenging and confrontational leadership position of leading the children of Israel, he was backed by a convincing and powerful promise of God, “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.” (Joshua 1:5) Believers often quote the promise of God to Joshua by personalizing it to themselves “The Lord will not leave me nor forsake me”. Indeed, God will never leave His own, except if His own disown Him by living outside of His command. It is a great blessing to have God on our side; however, God’s blessing is rooted in conditions that have to be met before the blessing manifests itself. It would not have happened for Joshua if he had failed to operate under the conditions that were laid down for the manifestation of God’s promise. The conditions for Joshua were for him to, “Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.” (Joshua 1:6) This same condition applies to any believer who wants to personalize God’s promise to Joshua. Without being strong in the Lord and having courage rooted in trusting God, Joshua would not have entered into the promises of God. Being strong and courageous is what becomes of one that consistently meditates on the word of God. Also, observing the word of God is in meditation just as it was laid down for Joshua, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it…” (Joshua 1:8) It is clear in the word of God that meditation will generate the ability to observe the word (Observe: to regard with attention, so as to see or to obey, comply with, or conform to). Without meditating on the word, nothing will be in place to observe. Truly, a believer can gain strength (become strong) when the joy of the Lord is present inside of him. It cannot be well stated more than in Nehemiah 8:10, “…For the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Joy that is rooted in the heart, not laughter or a smile is a direct access to the presence of God. The Psalmist confirms it by stating, “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy…” (Psalm 16:11) With the presence of God, a strength that cannot be shaken will make it impossible for any man to stand against a believer that is in the word of God. Having joy in the Lord is the evidence of fully trusting God.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace of obedience.

Receive The Word

FAITH CAPSULE: A failure to receive will bring forth the reason to be reduced.

Psalm 107

How you receive will not be determined by how long you have been in the church. It is possible for you to have been in the church for years and have the challenges of constantly holding on to who takes your seat or who steps on your toes every time you get into your place of worship. How you receive will not be determined by what or how people know you or perceive you to be. How you receive cannot be determined by how active you are in your congregation or your ground of fellowshipping. It is possible for you to be working in the church and not work His works. The Word that comes from God is to give life and to give it more abundantly. As the Word comes, so does the enemy. The enemy that is around is here on earth to take life and tear it with more destruction. The one that destroys is a specialized destroyer, he will always build on every reason not to be able to forgive and deny entrance of entering into a position to receive and be blessed.
It is written in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” It has been given by God and not that it will be given. It is there to operate a spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind. Receive what God has given; all that is not of God has to be released. It is true that you are conversant with the scriptural passages, but are you consciously operating what the passages are saying to you as a believer? To be consciously operating the given Word of God is the evidence of its reception in the life of a believer. The Word that God has given does have so much to offer if every believer will take a position to receive. The word of God is for healing and deliverance. Psalm 107:20, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” Anytime a believer is able to let go what the world is offering and take what the Word of God sent to us, there be deliverance to be received. It is only the hearts that are able to release itself from the occupying agents of the world that will receive–through constant engagement of the Word. How long will one continue to live life without receiving the word of God? He has given all that it takes for man to receive and be blessed in His Word. A failure to receive will bring forth the reason to be reduced.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace to be consistently open unto receiving His word.
