EXAMINE YOURS

FAITH CAPSULE: Make it a priority to examine your walk with God.

Matthew 14:22-33

Genesis 5:24 records, “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.”
Enoch walked with God and did not miss his step on earth.
Noah also walked with God.
Genesis 6:9 states the walk of Noah, “…Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.”
The perfection in the life of Noah was the evidence of his walk with God. The Bible also recorded Abram’s walk with God, “When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.” (Genesis 17:1-2)
Enoch and Noah walked with God, but Abram walked before God.
Can it be that Abram ungraded walking with God by walking before God?
The point here is walking with God or before God is they all live to the fulfillment of their destiny by not falling away from God.
In this life journey, make it a priority to examine your walk with God.
To walk with God or to walk before God is walking in God.
Are you walking in the Lord or outside of God?
When you walk in the Lord, let every step you take become committed unto God.
When you walk in the Lord, He will be involved in your decision-making.
As a believer, walk by faith, not by the sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to take control of your walk?
The Spirit of God will not force on anyone.
Galatians 5:16 records, “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
Jesus points it out to all, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63)
The Word of God is the Spirit of God.
Believers have much to gain by walking in the Spirit, and that is why a believer must stay focused on the Lord.
Peter walked on water because he maintained his focus when the Word commanded him to.
When he lost focus on the Word, he began to sink.
Are you focusing on Him despite delays in getting answers to your prayers?
Is the noise of the multitude growing all around you to disrupt your walk?
Acts 9:31, “Then the churches throughout all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit they were multiplied.”
Without any doubt, walking in Him brings comfort and multiplication of blessings in every area of life.

Prayer for today: Ask to become able to walk in Him in the coming days, weeks, months, and years.

PRAY THE WORD 2

FAITH CAPSULE: Three issues praying about who you look up to, your preparation, and the issue of fear.

LOOKING UP
The only one to look for is the hand of God.
In His hand is deliverance and preservation.
Psalm 34:9, “They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.”
Psalm 119:6, “Then I would not be ashamed, When I look into all Your commandments.”
PRAYER
Ask that distraction wish causes one to look away from God shall not have a place in your life and permanently cease in every area of your life.
Ask that God will continually enable you to look up to Him alone.
Ask that every force causing shame to become reduced in life be converted to fame, increasing you for the glory of God.
PREPARATION
It is preparation that brings to pass the process of time.
God closed the womb of Hannah to place her in preparation.
When it was time for her womb to become open in answering the prayer of Eli,  1 Samuel 1:20 records, “So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son…”
In preparation, come to the process time.
Preparation is crucial so as not to miss the time of His visitation.
At the time of Passover, there has to be preparation.
Jesus asked the disciples to go and prepared a place for Passover.
Mark 14:16 records, “16 So His disciples went out, and came into the city, and found it just as He had said to them; and they prepared the Passover.”
PRAYER
Ask God to prepare you to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. Lord, let me be a living sanctuary for you.
Ask that Lord God give you strength with His holy hand, upholding you in all areas of life.
Ask that God will lead you from temptation and purify you from within.
Ask God to occupy you and clean you from sin.
FEAR SHUTS
Fear is a silent killer that denies one not to answer right in the calling of God.
When fear rises, faith sinks.
When Jesus rose, the disciples remained shut, where they assembled for fear of the Jews.
Jesus visited them in their fear.
John 20:21-22 records, “Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
PRAYER
Ask God to visit you in every area or issue that locked you up because of fear.
Ask God to breathe on you that the Holy Spirit be active in your life in the name of Jesus.
ASK:
Psalm 86:11 prayed, “Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name.”

Pray that God will teach you in His way, that you will walk in His truth, and unite your heart to fear Him.

PRAY THE WORD

FAITH CAPSULE: What one asks for is rooted in what one thinks

Numbers 14: I-38

Matthew 7:7 informs all to be asking, seeking, and knocking.
What one is asking is rooted in thinking.
In your asking, plead before Him to separate whatever is not of Him that added to you (consciously or unconsciously) become separate from you permanently.
Jabez knew the need to ask from God, to call on God.
1 Chronicles 4:9-10 records, “Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” 10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.”
Do you know what is clouding your destiny, reducing you consciously or unconsciously?
Jabez knew to call for his name change, but do you know what needs to be changed for you to live life for the glory of God?
Jabez asked for change from God, SO GOD GRANTED HIM WHAT HE REQUESTED.
PRAYER
Ask for the hand of God to answer for you, to separate you permanently from forces reducing you, not to live at your divine assignment.
ASK:
Jabez asks for the hand of God to be with him. Ask that the hand of God that is not short shall continually be with you in all the days He has given you.
ASK:
Jabez asked for change from God, SO GOD GRANTED HIM WHAT HE REQUESTED.
Romans 2:11 states, “For there is no partiality with God.”
Ask God, not partial, to grant you your request.
Ask Him to enable you to increase, to enlarge you in all He has called you, for His glory.
ASKING AND THINKING
What are you thinking or asking consciously or unconsciously?
In life, what one asks is what one thinks.
God is God that hears what one asks at all times.
Ephesians 3:20 calls the attention of one who believes not to be ignorant.
Ignorance makes destitute of a believer.
The Bible states, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” (Ephesians 3:20)
The Israelites think and ask against God, and God hears them respond, sending Moses to them in Numbers 14:28, ” Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you.”
All negative confessions of the Israelites followed them to deny twenty years above to arrive at the promise of God.
All negative confessions of the Israelites followed them to deny twenty years above to arrive at the promise of God.
PRAYER
Ask God to enable you to make meditating on His word and communicating with Him day and night become your way of life. (Meditating/communicating will deny thinking or asking wrong before God.)
ASK:
God reverses irreversible. Ask Him whatever you are thinking or asking that is not of God to become reversed so that you will not be a victim of what you think or ask.

THE NAME OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: The name of God is a strong tower.

Daniel 6

Earn a place in the strong tower through constant and persistent prayer
The Bible declared, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverb 18:10)
The name of God is a strong tower to run to.
What a mighty God we serve!
In His name, there is power to preserve and deliver anyone who runs to His name.
One of the most powerful ways to run to his name is to seek Him in prayer.
Prayerfully, the psalmist ran to the strong tower asking, “Save me O God, by Your name, and vindicate me by Your strength. Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. (Psalm 54:1-2)
Know to run to the strong tower by asking, seeking, and knocking for deliverance and preservation.
David testifies his running to the strong tower, “As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.” (Psalm 55:16-17) Again, David is also saying that prayer is what it means to run to the strong tower.
He stated his prayer schedule as morning, noon, and evening times. Praying only during Sunday service will not serve one as praying constantly and consistently.
It is worth making prayer as a way of life the character of one that knows the strong tower.
How are you responding to seeking deliverance and preservation in this challenging life?
The word testifies to the response of Daniel to the signing of King Darius’s decree that called for banning prayer in his kingdom.
Daniel 6:10 states, “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.”
Daniel had no reason to call around for a prayer partner at his challenge times because he was conversant, knowing to run to the strong tower.
Daniel adopted a lifestyle calling on the name of God, morning, noon, and evening time.
As a result, Daniel could not be violated even in a den of hungry lions.
The name of God is a strong tower, and David could not be quiet from calling on His name in the face of his enemies.
He stated, “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.” (2 Samuel 22:24)
Work the word of God; have a place in the strong tower by constant and persistent prayer; engage in non-stop praising.
How is your way of life?
God is a caring God.
Let it be a way of life running to the strong tower.

Prayer for today: Ask that running to the strong tower shall be a way of life.

RECEIVE JESUS

FAITH CAPSULE: A choice to live out of God will be a mark of such.

John 8

In your confession, is He confirmed in you?
Jesus, in His journeying, arrived at a place He entered into the temple early in the morning.
While He was in the temple, all the people came to Him, and He sat down and taught them.
While Jesus was in the temple, scribes and Pharisees were also present, and Jesus taught them.
In His teaching, they tested Him so that they might have something to accuse Him.
In response to the people in the temple, He stated, “…I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
The Pharisees responded to the statement of Jesus, “The Pharisees therefore said to Him, “You bear witness of Yourself; Your witness is not true.” (John 8:13)
The Bible also identifies it that in the same temple, there were also people who believed.
In the documentation of the temple, what is your response to Jesus?
Whose side are you in the temple?
Are you on the side of the scribes, the Pharisees, or those who believe?
Jesus, having engaged all, responded to all, “Then they took stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.” (John 8:59)
Is your response in alignment with the Jews?

Are you in an attempt to stone Jesus?
Have you unknowingly been throwing stones at Jesus?
The Jews at that time picked up stones to throw at Him, but He hid himself and slipped away from the temple grounds.
If you have confessed Christ and your confession does not demonstrate the way of your life, then you are on the side of stoning-throw at Jesus. Do you know if you are throwing stones at Him?
Jesus left the temple to move forward, and the Bible records, “Now Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.” (John 9:1)
Jesus could not look away from meeting the blind man and healed him. Which side are you on?
Are you on the stone-throwing side (destructive end) like the persecutors or the healing side (receiving end) like that of the blind man?
Ask God to help you to no longer live a deceptive life.
Have you confessed to Jesus, but Jesus is not confirmed in your life?
A choice to live out of God, deception will be a mark of such.
Jesus made a way to pass by stone-throwing ones.
He came to give sight to those that cannot see.
His coming was not for destruction but to deliver.
He came to give hope to those who have lost hope.
Be on the receiving end, and He will not pass by you.
Do not be a stone-throwing one, but become one seeking Him.

Prayer for today: Ask God for His grace to deliver you to the receiving end.
