Not About You

FAITH CAPSULE: God has a purpose for every one of His creation.

Exodus 3:1-12

When God’s calling sounds in man’s direction, there could be no excuse or hiding place to disregard God’s calling on man. When God speaks to you what He wants to do with you it is equal to introducing you to yourself and knowing who you are in the hand of God. At the time God spoke to Moses, Moses’ life was transformed from who he knew himself to be to what the Lord wanted for him to be. At the time Moses was running from Pharaoh, at his hidden location, God located Moses for his divine assignment. Before God, we can run only when He chooses to look away from our running but we cannot hide. God called to send Moses to Pharaoh, “Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:10) Moses’, knowing who he was, responded to God, “…Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” (Exodus 3:11) Have you been thinking about who you are? On the journey of life, it is not about whom you are but who God says you are by virtue of what He calls you to be.
God has a purpose for every one of His creation because He does not create by accident. Once, He told Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5) As much as Moses tried to avoid his calling, God made Moses realize that He would certainly be with Him. God responded to Moses’ self-search, “So He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.” (Exodus 3:12) It was not important in regard to whom Joshua sees himself to be but it was important with regard to who God called him to be. After the death of Moses God spoke to Joshua, “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.” (Joshua 1:3) Moving from convenience into commitment is not a cordial move. When it is time for you to be removed situations will force you and God will give you a formal announcement of who you are and what He wants for you to be. Moses was relocated from palace to a place of nowhere to hide and to respond to what God called him to be.

Prayer for today: Ask God to guide you so that you will not miss your divine schedule.

Walk His Word

FAITH CAPSULE: Those who walk in His word always arrive at their expected end.

Psalm 143:7-12

It is written, “Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder),that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior.” (2Peter 3:1-2) The verse points out that the word of God is the mind stirring agent. A mind that is stirred shall be mindful of steps to be taken in life and shall see clearly in the path of challenging world. To move by the word of God is not to be removed in the path of divined agenda of God for one’s life.
For every believer that chooses to hear the word of God, it is important to know that, just a word of God is enough to terminate all kinds of struggle. What one hears in the word of God is what will carry one through in the face of world challenges.  The word of God is direction, deliverance, protection and preservation. When you hear Him right it will be right for you. When you fail to hear, you have also heard Him wrongly. You have a need to hear Him on a daily and regular basis. Psalm 143:8 “Cause me to hear your lovingkindnesss in the morning. For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to you.” The Psalmist demonstrates here that hearing Him in the morning is what makes the difference for the day. When you begin to make time to hear from the Lord first in the morning, trusting Him will be activated in your daily endeavors and what you heard in the morning will be your compass for the day. There are none that have walked in the way of God that end up in failure.
It is wisdom to walk in the way of God. Evidently, it is also a demonstration of trust in Him not to walk in your own way. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding: In all your ways acknowledge Him. And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6) To many believers, these are well memorized and often quoted scriptural verses. However, memorization without meditation will bring forth no manifestation. Meditation is what will cause man to observe and to take right step as directed in the word of God. Those who walk in His way always arrive at their expected end and are set to end up in His divine schedule and rest. In all that you hear, hear Him right and that will have a direct impact on how you move.

Prayer for today: Ask God for understanding in your hearing.

Enter Your Open Door Miracle

FAITH CAPSULE: In Jesus name, it is too late for any adversary to deny your miracle March.

Luke 6:6-19

In your miracle March, assessing your open door breakthrough is most likely to engage many adversaries. However, gain understanding in the word of God that Jesus is enough to deliver your breakthrough. It is made known in the word of Apostle Paul that adversaries are assessable to open door but one must believe that adversaries can be deny from denying one from possessing open door breakthrough miracle. It is written, “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.” (1 Corinthians 16:9) Can you imagine adversaries not an adversary, taking a stand at the open door of such a God’s general?
The testimony of how a man with a withered hand could not be denied by adversaries at his open door miracle is encouraging. “Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that He entered the synagogue and taught. And a man was there whose right hand was withered.” (Luke 6:6) A man with the withered hand had two hands just like every other person except that one was withered. It was not mentioned how he came across Jesus but it was a Sabbath day, a time when the Pharisees wanted to put Jesus to test. The Pharisees wanted to find charge against Jesus for healing the man with the withered hand. The man with the withered hand in the presence of Jesus had approached his open door miracle. In his open door, the Pharisees took the position of adversary. At your open door breakthrough miracle, is there any adversary attempting to deny you your deliverance?
The man with the withered hand needed a breakthrough miracle from shortage to fullness; from mockery to miracle but adversaries at his open door miracle waited to make sure his miracle failed. To be withered is not to be complete but Jesus the Restorer of the lost; the One that reverses the irreversible changed the withered man’s story by making him whole. Jesus, “…When He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. But they were filled with rage, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.” (Luke 6:10-11) In your life, what do you need to stretch out from? Jesus is there, He has come to give life and not to cause any shortage. Before the withered man received his healing, Jesus commanded him, “…Arise and stand here…” (Luke 6:8) The man answered Jesus without any doubt as he rose and assessed his open door miracle. By virtue of his miracle, adversaries at his open door, “…Were filed with rage…” (Luke 6:11) Let rage be to your adversaries; allow Jesus to reign in your life, your breakthrough will come and the adversary will be at rage but Jesus will not stop to reign.

Prayer for today: Ask Him to reign and rule over all that concerns your life.

March Miracle

FAITH CAPSULE: In the month of March, march in faith; possess the miracle of the third day.

Mark 1:29-45

Jeremiah 10:12declared, “He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens at His discretion.” (Jeremiah 10:12) He is the only God and His ways are higher than our ways. Waiting to see Jesus move the same way He moved in your neighbor’s miracle will take forever in you receiving your miracle breakthrough. Jesus does not move by man’s calculation, but by His compassion. Are you calculating how or what His move is going to be for you? At the time of His healing the man with leprosy, “…Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, ‘I am willing: be cleansed.’”(Mark 1:41) It was Jesus who stretched out to heal the man with leprosy. The same Jesus approached a man with a withered hand and commanded him to stretch out his hand in Mark 3:5, “And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, ‘Stretch out your hand.’ And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as a whole as the other.” Jesus is not a magician, but He is a miracle working God.
In miracles, you do not know how your expectation is going to be manifested but insist on your expectation for manifestation. Miracle is an extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers. Why not take a step forward in faith for your own March miracle? Before the man with the withered hand encountered his miracle, there was a need for him to step forward. It is written, “And He said to the man who had the withered hand, ‘Step forward…”  (Mark 3:3-4) The man took a step of faith and all that could deny his miracle were silent. What are the issues that are holding you from stepping forward when you need to step forward in your breakthrough miracle? Are you calculating how your miracle is going to happen? Jesus is not a mathematician or a magician, but He will move on your behalf if you will take a step of faith. In this month of March, march on in faith and possess the miracle of the third day in your third month of 2013. With understanding in the word and work of His hand, gain the knowledge that He will not fail you. The man with the withered hand stepped forward; he did not wait for Jesus to stretch unto Him. Your miracle will come in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Hear my prayer O Lord God and let my cry come up to You. Do not hide your face from me.

The Race To Be Run

FAITH CAPSULE: Running the race requires endurance through the grace of God.

Hebrews 12:1-24

The word of God admonishes in Hebrews 12:1, “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.”The journey of life is a race of life. Running the race is not by strength or by determination, but only by the grace of God. Despite the truth that the race can only be successfully run by grace, there should be no reason to abuse the grace to run through. To run the race through, two things have to be avoided as mentioned in the scriptural verse above: Weight and sin.
Weight is the unnecessary thing that adds nothing to us but take away from us by slowing us down. Weight is minor thing which we often consider as major. Weight is also what man should fully let go and not carry along while answering to God’s calling in running the race of life. With weight not being let go, one is set to fail and not run successfully. What is it that that can be considered weight in your race?
Sin is the evil which man often engages consciously or unconsciously. The major root of sin is pride. Which is it in your life? Is it manipulation, unforgiving, lying, deception, keeping malice, fornication, adultery, stealing and all kinds of race terminating baggage?
The race is already set and there is no choice but to run it. To run the race requires endurance through the grace of God. In this world of challenges, running with determination will not be enough but running with endurance is what it takes to run successfully. Running the race with endurance can only be engaged by looking up unto Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. For effective and successful running, Jesus paid the price on the cross with His blood. The Blood of Jesus never runs out or short of supply as a result, take to the word by Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2) Are you getting weighed down in the race of life? Be encouraged and do not be discouraged in the race of life. Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith already stated, “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)Hold on to Him by keeping your eyes on Him and He will see you through.
With Jesus, you will run with peace and find rest.

Prayer for today: Ask God to cause His face to shine on you that you may become save and not fail.
